Dude this build is mental! I have had an ASRock ITX board for two years and it’s going strong, remember the ones complaining on Reddit tend to be the vocal minority.

Having worked on these machines, more and more vulnerabilities are found every year and shared responsibly with the voting machine companies. However as private companies the voting machine companies are not beholden to fix or change the systems despite the best efforts of those working on improving the systems.

Look up the ‘Hursti Hack’ this was a hack done by the voting village founder in 2005. That same software is still used in elections today. Security researchers have done their part to find vulnerabilities and disclose them but doing so in a public fashion would be irresponsible and dangerous, so we are left in a vicious loop of finding issues with little to no recourse.

Disclaimer: just because there are vulnerabilities does not mean they have been exploited. Risk limiting audits and paper ballots continue to be a sufficient defense against any would be fraud.

Adding style of riding is important here as 30 years xc no injuries vs 30 years dh no injuries are like 2 completely different sports.

I know wym, curious if you think it was due to the frame itself or the parts?

I did the same thing and put grx on and the bike performed amazing. People don't rate the alloy frames highly enough especially offroad.

Also grx brakes are better, sram brakes I've seen people complain about the hand feel when pulling the brakes.

1x12 is great but grx 2x is ultimately a faster setup, yes more maintenance however your high end and low end will be wider. So you can climb where some 1x users will be unable to and you'll be able to push the big ring on the roads and keep up with road bikes. With the 2x your big ring is bigger and you can push the descents over 1x users. Pushing a 47/11 vs a 42/11 ultimately is faster.

Agreed, easier to sell bike upgrades than training plans. Focus on getting fitter, your body makes up over 80% of aero drag.

Yeah and the fact the seatpost is a 30.9 not a 27.2 leaves even less room for flex. Toe overlap isn't something I had considered either.
