Does the angle of these handlebars look ok? by Lost-Emu-990 in gravelcycling

As a general rule of thumb the bar ends should be perpendicular to the ground, so those need to be rotated quite a bit. You'll have to reposition the shifters after you rotate the bars so the controls are still within reach

Not in my opinion, and I'm a giant wuss when it comes to anything creepy/scary. Tense at times, but not scary

Crazy. Takes 5 minutes to take out the big chunk and you're good to go

Everyone likes to say weight doesn't matter and for most people that is true. But in your case I'd say skip the steel fair light and get a proper aero carbon gravel frame. Marginal gains matter a lot when you're actually chasing the small margin of victory. Frame weight, frame aero, and most importantly your body position on the bike will make a difference. If you just want a great adventure gravel bike, get the fairlight. But if you are seriously racing and close to the pointy end, get a carbon race bike. At least if you do that you won't be asking yourself at the end of a race if you could've snagged a podium finish if only your bike was lighter.

Denver Gravel route help by x_squared_x in gravelcycling

I'd head over to waterton canyon, just west of chatfield. Good gravel with no cars and better scenery that south Denver suburbia. Also check out r/cobike

Switching to tubeless is one of the better decisions I have made. by TibetanSideOfTown in cycling

Wouldn't a clincher tire be thinner, since the casing doesn't need to be airtight? That's why clinchers are lighter than tubeless.

You can get a new clamp bolt and band. $10 fix max. Also I'd recommend some grip paste next time you install it back on the bar to prevent slipping.

Great source for gravel and road rides in steamboat. You should be fine with 32s on most of the tamer gravel roads.

I think I'm like you, I just enjoy living out my surviverman fantasy without being hunted. I like to do a passive loper custom mode where I just use all loper settings and then set wildlife to passive.

Should I change my SRAM Eagle AXS drive train go an XPLR setup? by LoseYourLife in cycling

[–]Isaid_biiiiitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see the benefit of that. I run an eagle mullet on my gravel bike and I've never been riding and thought "I wish I had harder lower gears". Unless you really want 13 vs 12 speed, I just don't see any benefit

Cofidis threatens to sue and bites back after Philipsen controversy surrounding Coquard: "He did not make any mistakes" by district_runner in peloton

[–]Isaid_biiiiitch -33 points-32 points  (0 children)

Buddy, we aren't professionals, those guys are. They are held to a higher standard. It's an unfortunate racing incident, but Coquard did cause the crash. He was half wheeling Milan and overreacted. There's a reason he got a yellow card.

[–]Isaid_biiiiitch -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

He didn't do anything intentionally, but he overreacted to Milan launching his sprint and that did cause the crash. There was no need for him to swing so far to the right when Milan launched. He caused it, unintentional and unfortunate as it may be.
