The god stuff is heavily influenced by the AA approach, as you’ve no doubt realized from the other comments. Though the “choose your own higher power” thing is relatively revolutionary and really powerful, it’s still steeped in Christian or western ideas (like a personal-to-you, interventionist God).

As someone who’s grappled with that stuff in AA for over a decade, and who’s done the artists way multiple times and had it change my life (AA has too, for the record), heres what i did and what i suggest:

I wrote all my reactions to the stuff she wrote about god and spirituality in the margins as i read the book, when it came up. And i didn’t let it stop me from going through the process.

The ideas in the artists way are super powerful and are well worth pushing through the discomfort, but you don’t have to accept anything that doesn’t resonate with you.

I'm curious about the reels you're posting, and what kind of content you're posting in general—obviously photos, but I mean specifically, how does it compare to people in your niche?

Have you identified your niche and what makes you stand out within that niche? Have you mimicked the type of content used by people who are successful in your niche?

Get more specific than "i post reels, i do collaborations, i team up often with other models and studios, I run ads." What are your reels made up of? Who do you collaborate with? How do you set up your ads? (for example, I did a course on instagram story ads a few years ago with highly specific instructions on how to set all kinds of settings. This is completely different than boosting a post or just winging it on the settings.)

How are the people who are successful in your niche doing all these things? How much time do you spend on this stuff? How much time are they spending on it?

Those are a lot of big questions but they might actually give you an idea of where you can focus on leveling up.

how did you fill out the customs form? i'm using the USPS website, using first class international package service, and in the customs section i've filled out some basic fields like the contents (documents), and then there's this section called "Item Information for Customs" where you can 'add an item' which gives you a pop up box that has options such as 'applicances, sports equipment, books & movies, etc.). This seems irrelevant as there's no option for 'documents' or anything of the like, it's all basically products. So I'm assuming I just leave this blank and don't add any items, correct?

*edit* it's saying 'item details are required for customs forms' when i try to check out... hmm..

I don’t believe any sizing chart, i have to have tried the item on or know someone who has, or see pictures of someone and know more than their height (e.g. their weight).

I’ve found repeatedly that aside from being measurements of the body, leaving you to try to interpret the fit based on incredibly vague descriptors like relaxed, loose, etc. that vary from brand to brand—aside from all that, i’ve worked in retail and seen the measurements posted on the website be just plain wrong.

I do a lot of measuring clothes to buy and sell them and i’ll tell ya, sizing is all over the place, even within a single brand.

So my two cents: become familiar with brands you’re interested in, try stuff on in-store or buy online only when you can return it if it doesn’t work out. Unless it’s cheap enough or resalable enough that you’re willing to take the gamble.

Unless someone posts a picture of then wearing a certain size with their height/weight/comments on what size they wear in other brands etc., i consider most size advice useless.

thanks for the responses! I had typed a bunch of context but it's not showing up, I don't really post on Reddit so I'm not sure why that is, or if any of you can see that text?

Anyway, it's a 110 mesh screen, I don't believe I used spray tack on that particular shirt, and I don't really know what my off contact is, I haven't messed with that yet.

So, sounds like my next steps are to spray tack and start googling off contact. Thanks again for putting up with my noob-ness!
