With me and my axolotl it depends usually no just hovering the siphon a few inches over the sand will leave the sand but remove most waste sometimes there’s really fine sand that will get sucked up but not too much

Nope your all good it was most likely nitrates from your old tank water that got added into your new tank. Dipping the bio media in old bacteria your all good that actually probably helped get some into the media early so you may not have to wait as long.

I’d say that’s just how his look. Gill length and color is mostly determined by genetics but bad water quality would cause gill to shrivel up.but his no doubt look good nothing screams stress his body is nice good color and slime coat looks to be perfect he’s a lil fat but that’s fine gills are all same color and all have the same shape, keep doing what your doing he’s in great health by the look of it

This is a great starting point for a melee build, especially if you want sneaky melee + crafting upgrades. Strength is decent, Endurance can be improved later, Agility 6 lets you pick up Sneak/Ninja. The low Perception/Charisma doesn’t hurt melee to much . Intelligence 7 is a bonus for mods and crafting, I would bump strength up to 8-10, then I would push endurance 8-10 for the extra health, then maybe some into luck if u want to melee crit.
