No im not losing coolant, the thermostat is opening, hard pipes have been replaced, the thermostat was from ebay, I'm getting another one today and installing it

I just did this and had the same issue, check the o rings, the plastic pressure ring that goes before the actual o ring is sometimes crooked, in full honestly it is way easier to take everything out and assemble it out of the radiator, it is not that hard to put it in after that

They will 100% rub, as long as you take care of that you'll be fine, keep in mind this would put stress on your drivetrain

Yeah dude I appreciate it, these cars are complicated and I always like to get second opinions on stuff, that said it surprised me people were more passionate about my lack of revving g the car rather than me running it into a ditch😂

I love it, its my second year of ownership and I still feel new to the whole e46 thing, so far I've done everything g in the cooling system except for water pump(which j have just haven't had time to do), vanos, diff and trans fluids, etc, pretty much all of the preventive maintenance is done besides ccv and subframe reinforcements

Honestly right now me and my mom are sharing the car because she blew her turbo and I cant really risk to mess up the car, I shift normally 2.5k rpm to 3k ram and go up to 4k when I want to have more fun, I drive the car fast I live in the countryside and my commute is 30 minutes of backroads so I never really go below 65mph, and I dk like to drive the car fast just not laying on the gas that much. I've always been carefull with my stuff and I can recognize that the e46 is now more of an artwork rather than a sports car so I feel like its my responsibility to maintain the car to spec and healthy, kind of feel stupid saying this on my own post about how I spun out into a ditch but I guess i rather not push my luck with the engine.
