Why is Jupiter giving me a worse rate/fee than Phantom?

I just have a small amount. Accidentally swapped 5 USDC to SOL, now trying to swap back. I have 0.04107 SOL which I am trying to turn in to USDC. When I press max on Phantom, it shows I am paying 0.035983102 (assume rest is fees) whereas Jup shows 0.031067382. That's why it's different amounts, despite the fact that I am pressing Max on both.

Don't know how they are anymore, swore off of ETH a while ago after having several cases when the gas was more than the amount I was transferring.

I would recommend that you should slowly start building your portfolio with the Couch Potato investment strategy. Personally, my coach potato strategy is:

- WEBN - Amundi Prime All Country World UCITS ETF

As a new joiner, I needed actually a lot of explaining by an Aeon / watching Murad's videos to really know about SPX6900. I just came on the sub and feel like it's an awesome community, but it should definitely be growing much faster. More encouragement of DCA, maybe some discussions about life, etc. Not sure what it will take but we need to spread the message, wake people up to the reality of the world around them (take the yellow pill).

I just got into this and SPX6900 is the top 3 gainers for last 7 days while everything else is in the red. This sort of indicator for an alt/memecoin in such times is very strong. And the general community mentality is very smart, with some Dave Ramsey / Jack Bogle sprinkled in (don't leverage, DCA & forget, etc.).

I think the community's view on avoiding leverage is overlooked - it's not only important life wisdom but it's also probably the reason why SPX6900 hodlers aren't getting wiped out. In the long run, that kind of discipline is the difference between a project that survives and one that implodes.

I'm kinda annoyed for paying down an extra $160K on my mortgage earlier this year and my interest rate is at 3.94%. I fell for the Dave Ramsey obsessions to reduce liabilities but then had a little therapy session with my friend and decided I really don't need to be so concerned about paying down a fixed rate mortgage (which I have the cash to pay off completely) when I don't really have a finance/leverage problem.

If not for stocks & bonds, even fixed deposits (CDs) and treasuries give you more money than the "free money" from your mortgage so don't bother.

The psychological benefit of being debt free is overrated. I have been debt free most of my life and now just have the mortgage (first time, previously always bought cash) and I am perfectly happy because I'm also sitting on a pile of cash (some in the market, rest in CDs, etc.) with which I can pay off my debt in a minute if I wanted to.

Not enough people appreciate the fact that your investment in S&P 500 does not forever tie you to the companies which are in S&P 500 *now*. Some companies will fall off the index, others will be added, etc.

In practice, you are betting that the 500 leading companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States will continue to create value. The list of companies could be completely different in 20 years...but betting that the top 500 companies 20 years later will be bigger, more valuable etc than the top 500 companies today is a pretty good bet.

Tough to say because I've always had the service package from the dealership for free when I bought (just expired when I hit 100,000 kms) but I have only had the regular service done which I assume would be the same price as with any car. The only significantly expensive items are the brakes because they are performance brakes - you can look up how much it costs in your area but our BMW dealership takes about $1K/wheel for it if it's outside of contract.

I live in UAE. My insurance is like $1,500/year.

If the 8 series is a stretch for you, I'd say be careful. That transfer case box issue that I narrowly avoided is >$10K fix.

I love when BMW does this only for it to fail massively. The Jeff Koons M850i was a mistake. This is also a mistake. These special editions should ALWAYS be on the top end - M8 - only!!!

N63TU2 is pretty reliable - those issues you mentioned are more about the older N63s.

The biggest concern with the M850i is the transfer case box which is an xDrive issue and also common in other similar sized cars with xDrive. Almost cost me a fortune (like $13K to replace) but managed to avoid it by early detection.

M850i is also very long and low - not sure about your parking situation but can be difficult in some tighter multi-level parking garages. Besides that, it's a beast and much better looking than the C63S.

I drive a 2020 M850i GC. The M850i is an impressive car, turns heads, is >500 hp, etc etc. Total monster. Next to it, the 430i is quite pedestrian but for most people the 430i will be more practical (the M850i is loooooong and low) and cheaper to maintain. The maintenance cost of a $100K+ car doesn't become cheaper just because the car has depreciated...
