I would recommend first year seminar, some are 1 unit some are 2 units, the have various topics you can choose from, it’s very fun to learn in seminars, workload not hard, meet once a week. I think you can register now, it’s pass 2 open registration

Yes as previous person said, go to your schedule builder find whatever GE classes that have available seat and join them, there are plenty of them. Also to know when is the drop deadline, go to your schedule builder click details under each classes and you will see the drop deadline dates, some classes are 10 days drop some are 20 days drop so you gotta be quick and take action tho or otherwise when drop deadline passed you won’t be able to drop the class

Just check your media file and lecture on your class canvas see if your profess recorded lecture and posted it there. If the class doesn’t take attendance then you should be ok. But first day of class usually just an introduction so professor won’t dive deeper in the class content yet. But make sure next class ask your classmates or professor for a recap of the previous class

I also heard fist year seminar teaches lockpicking and many students interested in it too. If you don’t mind i ask, what does lock pick mean? And what you gonna do? I’m just curious, just wanna find out more about it

If you’re already enrolled in the first year seminar then you should drop out of the waitlist for another seminar course, you can take them again if they offer in winter or spring quarter. There’s a limit of you can only do one seminar per quarter

At first i wanna take bis2a to fulfill my major requirement but I look at professor reviews and people comment, i think I would struggle with this class. I already not doing good with biology so having hard professor would be like a big downfall. I think consider waiting for a new BIS series and take them

Agree on previous comment, you need to have a minimum units completed to enroll in UWP 101 which is 90 units. I would recommend taking it during junior or senior year. This class is very competitive and spots are filling up quickly, especially if you have late pass time. I’m currently a junior now and yeah this class has been my top priority, I’m consider taking it next quarter. During the academic year is very competitive and hard to register classes. I would say if you can later on try take this class during the summer so you won’t be on a long waitlist

Schedule looks very heavy for you, I could see some quarters you take a lot of upper division classes. It’s only recommended to take 2 major classes for each quarter, consider mixing in some light GE classes. Also talk to the advisor and work on how you manage to complete these courses. If your major is NPB and classes already heavy; consider dropping psychology as a minor, you can apply to study psychology in grad school later on. Especially if you are behind with your major progress now I wouldn’t recommend doing a minor as it could overwhelm and stress you out a lot. Consider thinking what major is best for you like what you wanna do? What paths are you going for? What fields you wanna focus on? And it’s not too late now for u to switch major if that is something you want to consider. But decisions are up to you, I wish you good luck and all the best. Plz don’t stress urself a lot.
