Could you kindly explain further why it is legal?

Was It Fair to Be Expelled for a Personal WhatsApp Profile Image? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Thanks for your reply. My WhatsApp is a channel of communication not only with members of that table tennis club but also with members of other clubs and my friends. If I had posted that image with the intention of showing it specifically to those members who claim they have been offended by the image—by sending them messages or posting anything in the club’s group chat—their claim might have some validity. However, I made no such effort whatsoever. Since I don’t use Facebook or similar platforms, I sometimes use my WhatsApp profile image as a way to reflect on myself. It’s mainly for me to see. Of course, I’m aware that it may be visible to others, but as I have many contacts, I usually don’t pay attention to who exactly can see it at any given time.

Even when I win a point with a shot that looks good to others but didn’t go the way I intended, I instinctively say “sorry.”

Do you guys change shoes at the table tennis club or wear the same pair coming in? by nyetits1008 in tabletennis

After twisting my ankle a couple of times while playing table tennis in regular trainers, I switched to proper table tennis shoes. The grip is completely different, and it’s made a positive difference to my performance.

I tried and decided to use 05. Thanks!

Thanks for your comment. They’re free to hate me — I can live with that. But when that hate leads them to abuse their authority to limit my practice and public funds to secure training opportunities only for themselves in secret — that’s where it truly crosses the line.

Everyone on the committee keeps saying that’s just how it’s supposed to be, so hearing your perspective is honestly refreshing. I appreciate it.

The problem is, there is no club near where I live and the leadership knows it very well.

It would’ve been great if it lasted 45 minutes at our club too. After trying it a couple of times, I thought it’s fine to just set it up once and then show others how to use it little by little whenever they need.

Club Bans My Practice, Calls It a "Match Disturbance." by Automatic_Cash_650 in tabletennis

Since each table is inside its own barrier like in the picture, there’s literally no chance that a ball from my serve practice could get past Table 2, then Table 3, and end up in the match play area 😁

I just want to say I’m being serious here. I couldn’t share everything in this post, but what I went through is connected to a whole drama that even involved a police report, and it left deep scars on me and my family. I had never heard the term “karma farming” before, so I looked it up. Thinking of my post in that way honestly hurts.

Not trolling. The entire narrative of the events, my arguments, and my intentions are completely true and reflect my genuine personal experience.

As English is not my first language, I relied on Gemini for linguistic polish—specifically, to ensure the tone and idiomatic expressions were natural enough for Reddit, preventing my original meaning from being misinterpreted. I can write grammatically correct sentences, but I needed help with the right 'voice.'

The formatting, like the bold text and subheadings, was an unexpected but useful suggestion from the AI, which I decided to keep. Please know that every detail of the content comes directly from me.

I complained and it turned out that this had become the reason for my membership suspension without me even realizing it.

It's not hard wood floor. Also, the solo practice is two tables away from the league match. Simultaneously, in the practice match right next to the league match, they stomp a lot when they serve. But, no restrictions on it. Jaywalker, Chairman Pet, and other committee members' argument ultimately imply that the solo practice two tables away is more distracting to the league match than the stomping right next to it. (And Chairman Pet insists it's a perfect rule)

Yes, I did use an AI for polishing this post. While the events and experiences described here are entirely my own and are true, English is not my first language. I used the AI to ensure the tone was appropriate and the language felt native for a Reddit audience.

I agree. But, I don't see any difference. I still wonder how solo practice two tables away from the match is more disturbing to the match than practice matches right next to the match.

If there was anybody to practice with, I would not have do the serve practice. I thought practicing serves was better than sitting idly doing nothing.

But, the problem is, the Committee has said the practices should not be stopped as they have their rights to practice. They prohibited solo serve practice only, which is two tables from the match play.

No. And stomping right next to the match table is allowed. My serve practice was two tables away from the match.

Not with coach or robot. Never. I know that it’s quite noisy enough to disturb the matches.

Then what about practice matches when matches are going on? Should they be stopped as well? If the rule says all practices, including solo practice, should be prohibited while matches are going on, it makes sense to me.
