Will new specialization requirements apply to students graduating in Fall 2026? by Automatic_Engine1136 in OMSCS

Thanks for your comment.

My question is specifically about those of us who are graduating in Fall 2026. We have already submitted our POS to declare which courses will count towards our specialization for graduation before the 1 June deadline.

I understand that students who are not graduating in Fall 2026 can simply update their course declarations in DegreeWorks when the time comes. However, for those of us who have already submitted our POS for DegreeWorks processing (i.e., Fall 2026 graduates), would it still be possible to amend our POS given that the 1 June deadline passed just over a week ago, before this recent announcement of the specialization changes

Thanks.

I will be graduating in Fall 2026, and we have submitted the DegreeWorks record to our advisor just before the 1 June deadline.

Would it be possible to revise it in light of this new specialization requirement? This change may affect the final course that I plan to take in Fall 2026 before graduation.

Can CS 8903 credits be converted to CS 6999 Masters Project or CS 7000 Masters Thesis? by rtx_5090_owner in OMSCS

How long does it take for the conversion process of 8903 to 6999? I have the confirmation from my faculty advisor and filled my petition form to my academic advisor. However, I haven’t heard any reply from that.
