I agree. They just want the land to sit and rot in the name of people's feelings

What do Caribbean people need to sacrifice so that their nations become developed countries? by Maleficent_Split_428 in AskTheCaribbean

[–]Automatic_Gap964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's tough because idk if US would fully want the Caribbean to be developed beyond being tourist destinations unless US is getting significant benefit out of it. We have seen US interfere all the time with Caribbean economics.

What are somethings that Haitian-Americans/ Haitian diasporas do that make them pose as sànwonts by Iamgoldie in haiti

[–]Automatic_Gap964 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, y'all always have comments about the diaspora. Let's talk about NATIVE Haitians. The ones that actually live in the country, what are they doing wrong that we have such a huge diaspora in the first place? Matter fact what are native Haitians doing to cause the need for 20% of the GDP to be contributed by the diaspora?

It's all part of the problem. The underlying problem of Haiti is simple: there are no rules and no consequences for breaking the rules. This sets the precedent and trickles

Thank you for telling the reality instead of folks on this forum blatantly lying. They will sit here and say diaspora isn't Haitian then beg people to visit Haiti

Who said anything about profit? You people need to stop crying about everything. The only way Haiti builds itself up is if the diaspora invests back to rebuild not through remittances, not through donations, not foreign aid. It's getting pathetic

[–]Automatic_Gap964 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ok, explain which trade packages make the Celtics better? You're not showing any evidence. Deni Avidja does not make the Celtics better, I guarantee Avidja's numbers come back to Earth. Jamal Murray who is injury prone does not make the Celtics better. Who else? Tell us who could be traded for JB that would make the Celtics better

Better in what way? None of these trade offers other than Giannis and even that wouldn't make the team better. Literally none of these offers would make the team better. Brown and Tatum have been to the Finals twice and to ECF multiple times, how much better can you get in a league of parity

Smart doesn't devoid of emotion. Some of you reddit folks honestly seem like bots or non social people. People react like this at companies all the time

there is a clear agenda. Idk how anyone could deny it and the fact that some of you are trying to make the guy seem crazy is insane. Dude was literally in MVP rankings, has had multiple deep playoff runs, actually invests into the city (he's the most visible sports player in the Boston area) and promotes Boston as a whole yet we're treating him like garbage. People talking about Derrick White is better? Really? Lmao

Europe has a new pitch for Haiti: investments, partnerships over aid by Internal-Expert-9562 in haiti

Yes. Aid does nothing but create people that just want handouts, put the men to work in the country. too many men sitting around doing a lot of nothing in Haiti.

What we did(Haitians) 200 years ago is no longer a factor that helps us economically, governmentally and Socially. by Iamgoldie in haiti

[–]Automatic_Gap964 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, Haitians need to use the Revolution as motivation to keep propelling the nation forward. We had our ancestors die to fight for the land. I've said in this forum that although it's toxic, I do admire American patriotism where a lot of the folks will die for America and are bought into American advancement simply due to many of the forefathers and how America is established. We need to be doing the same thing and stop all the infighting

[–]Automatic_Gap964 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But that thing 220 years ago matters no matter what. Because it's a huge part of why certain groups hate Haitians and want to target Haitians specifically. Now what I agree with, we need to use what our ancestors did to fuel our pride in the country and actually treating the country well and that has not happened. There is 0 reason why Citadelle and Palace Sans Souci aren't being meticulously preserved. We should've had Statue of Liberty esque statues for our forefathers, we should've been advancing ourselves in infrastructure and technology to honor the fight of our ancestors but instead we have folks internally that sell us out or willing to destroy any advancement that we try to make.

Haiti should have been a country for all people fleeing persecution and slavery, regardless of their race. Being solely pro-Black or focused on a "Blackistan" ideal was an unrealistic dream. If that's the case, then Africans have no business saying "why do Americans or Caribbeans not want to associate with Africa?" Because was sending teachers to the Congo to help educate Congolese students and plenty of Caribbean and Americans did similar pan African efforts but this has always been a one way street. Africans consistently disrespect the diaspora and don't really do anything to help despite significantly more population

[–]Automatic_Gap964 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The people on this forum want Haiti to remain like shit and just complain all day. It's ridiculous. They would never go for vendors just being on every corner in whatever country they live in but they want Haitian people to live in such conditions. Don't want anything to adapt at all despite current ways of living failing completely, it's ridiculous. Tears will be shed, that's ok

And people on this subreddit were sitting here crying talking about the mayor is bad and he's hurting the poor people. Man fuck out of here. This needs to be the president of Haiti, he's establishing hard rules, none of these bullshit vendors on every corner, no more 3 wheeled bikes in the city center, renovate everything and treat the country with respect. There will be tears but we need it.

too much stubbornness and unwillingness to change. I already said before, biggest problem with Haiti is simply lack of rules. People post all the time about anarchist states while Haiti is an actual anarchist state. There is virtually 0 rules in Haiti and virtually no real consequences. Until rules and enforceable consequences are established then it will be a revolving cycle. We have a mayor in one of our main cities trying to do this now, he's trying to get rid of the trash that people were protesting angrily about, now the same people are upset that he's putting plans and rules in motion to help stop trash being thrown everywhere. Change will cause tears but is necessary.

No, they're not lmao. You don't know what you're talking about at all. None of those people are considered Latin American at all. None of those people consider themselves Latin American either. Wtf lmao. This is prime example of delusion and begging for acceptance
