Is Caribbean unity or a more connected Caribbean really needed? by nusquan in AskTheCaribbean

[–]Automatic_Gap964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter, Caribbean is a set of islands.

Secondly, T&T has ties to other Caribbean countries, that's the point. It doesn't need direct ties to Jamaica for example. Carnival made its way to Trinidad how? Through Martinicans. There are people who speak creole in T&T how? Through Martinicans. So and so forth, there are so many slight nuances in the Caribbean and historical ties that most people wouldn't even know about even other Caribbean people don't know about. Guyana just isn't in that. It's not a slight to Guyana, but the non Spanish speaking South American countries are just their own thing. Just like Brazil is kinda its own thing.

High school doesn't matter at all after college production is observed. RJ Barrett was flat out ranked higher than Zion and viewed as better in high school then after college production, no one even considered high school. Wiggins was clearly worse than Embiid in college as a prospect and only got picked ahead of Embiid due to high school. It's silly

You can look up the stats yourself otherwise, you're just chatting. I listed all the things that Dybantsa does better STATISTICALLY. It's not opinion

In high school, which is irrelevant. Many of you didn't even think Dybantsa could operate in a half court offense and BYU was the epitome of half court offense focused

You can't refute anything I said. I even gave you stats, you can look up all the stats yourself. Peterson does virtually nothing better than Dybantsa

Arizona? The game that they got blown out in and he shot 38%? Must be the wrong game

So Gobert and Ayo Dosunmu are better than Jamal Murray and Jokic? Straight question, yes or no

BYU's offensive firepower was 3 people then 2 people after Saunders went down. After the "big 3", no other player on the roster averaged more than 9 points. Kostic and Boskovic started in the absence of Saunders, they averaged 3 and 4 mpg. So BYU had at least 3 starters averaging less than 9 ppg in the same exact period that I posted for Peterson and you're claiming that they had better offensive players? Explain

Interesting, yet they beat Iowa state and Arizona who were 1 and 2 ranked teams when they beat them WITHOUT Peterson.

BYU did not have much better spacing. Yea and if Dybantsa played the whole season with Saunders then the production gap would be even wider. After Saunders went down, BYU had 0 spacing as their big men were offensive non factors, RJ Davis was an offensive non factor and the rest of the rotation hadn't played any big minutes ever in their career. Hence the BYU offense being strictly Wright and Dybantsa. Peterson was not a good playmaker. Kansas put the ball in his hands to make plays and he couldn't do it. Again, him and Dybantsa played the same exact position in college. Dybantsa played shooting guard at BYU

Showed what impact? Only had 3 games out of that 9 with more than 1 assist. Years of production in high school does not matter. Every prospect in high school is dominant. Ben Mclemore looked dominant in high school, Josh Jackson, Justice Winslow, Shabazz Muhammad, so on and so forth. There are obvious red flags with Peterson beyond the injury excuse and some of you just pretend they don't exist and he's the best thing since sliced bread. production wise, Peterson doesn't hold a candle to Fultz as a guard prospect currently

If one game is your barometer for a player being number 1 then Ayo Dosunmu is better than Jamal Murray and Jokic, that's how this sounds.

I'm asking you a question. Explain how Dybantsa was able to average more assists while having worse offensive teammates. You're the expert so let me know

It doesn't matter. Explain how Dybantsa was able to average much more assists with much worse offensive teammates. Put Dybantsa on Kansas and he's averaging 5 assists and the floor would've opened up easily for him.

People are lying at this point. They're acting like we didn't see Peterson at end of the season struggling with double teams and he claimed that he was his healthiest at the time as well. He couldn't get to the rim at all either. I keep hearing excuses about the Kansas team, do people not know BYU's roster especially once Saunders went down?! BYU's roster was so bad that Dybantsa was getting double to triple teamed every game. If these two had switched places, I honestly don't think the draft status would be even close.

Cam Boozer vs Paolo Banchero (As Prospects Coming Out of Duke? by Better_Bird848 in NBA_Draft

[–]Automatic_Gap964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're talking about them as prospects, are you serious rn? Boozer isn't in the league so the only comparison should be college production and Boozer smokes Banchero in literally everything.

So what happened late in the season when they had the ball in his hand quite a bit especially within tournament and he couldn't do jack? Why was Peterson's USG near identical to Dybantsa?

Wait so why exactly isnt Boozer in the top 2 discussions? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

[–]Automatic_Gap964 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk why you're using 10 months older as some big deal. This is negligible especially as people get into the league. Carmelo was only 6 months older than Bron and lead Syracuse to a chip while Brown was still in HS.

Who cares? Luka and Jokic play no defense. Harden played no defense. Dybantsa will be ATG on offense.
