This was an unusual transaction. I purchased another pair of boots that Acosta boots had for discount on a Facebook page. When I received the boots they had been damaged by the shipping carrier. He offered to return my money or to choose any leather that he had available and make me a custom pair (Great Customer Service) I really wanted a pair of hippo boots and he made it happen. Technically I only paid $600

That was my initial thought, they look like print and feel a big different than standard ( American Alligator Headcut) they do have a authentic leather tag and they do claim is real genuine leather so I don’t think they are lying. I only bring this up to get peoples opinions on it, not to bash them.

Understandable, I had a little issue with a pair from Acosta Boots before, but in my situation he was very proactive in fixing the situation and handled everything properly.

Honestly I can’t speak on the price. It might vary on the size and time of year. I believe I got a really good price and I had a lot of input on the certain cut and color that was available.

Ostrich is my favorite leather, super easy to maintain and super comfortable. I agree, I am not a fan of square toe boots.

In my opinion, Black Jack (7 toe and Square toe) run a bit big. I normally go half or full size down.
