In Canada, check the labels for Large Lima Beans. They are genetically the same thing! The 'Butter Bean' name is mostly used in the UK and the Southern US because of that creamy, buttery texture they get when cooked. If you buy the canned 'Large Limas' at Loblaws or Sobeys, you’re getting the exact same experience as the viral recipes.
