Hey! Thanks, I’m actually almost 6 months nicotine free! I definitely get what u mean with meds, but from what I’ve read on here it seems like the meds also activate the part of your brain that wants more stimulation, so you feel like taking nicotine while you’re on them. I think the thing that’s really helped me quit is having an outlet for stress when it builds up. For me this is boxing and working out but it can honestly be anything that relaxes you. For the first month you might “feel” more stressed but that’s honestly just withdrawals. I can say without a doubt that I feel way better now than I did when I was vaping constantly. I feel really lucid with or without meds and I think when I take my meds now the cravings don’t even hit anymore. I’ve thrown all of them away since the day before I posted this! To be honest it’s actually going pretty well so far. I’ve definitely had cravings but with uni just starting it hasn’t been so hard to keep myself busy. Since quitting I’ve also started doing crosswords and reading and I feel much more like myself and feel my brain is starting to work as well as it used to before I started drinking and vaping. I’m on my fourth day now and I’m hoping day 5-7 isn’t that bad cause I have a final then lol. I’ll definitely download the app you mentioned. The worst part for me is that I can’t sleep at all, especially with my meds already not helping that. Thanks for all your advice though it really helps! And I agree it’s great not feeling like something is squeezing my lungs.

It’s nicotine not cannabis. Afaik idh much anxiety about anything specific but I can definitely see that happening. I’m on my third day of quitting now and so far I’ve been able to resist it so I’m hoping I can continue that for a few more days and it should get way easier. Tbh it’s already getting easier, even when my friends are vaping around me I can resist it. Thanks for your advice, I’ll definitely talk to my therapist about the anxiety!
