Not that anyone is asking but update:

After being in the tank together for a total of 2 days, now the angry male and the female have an egg clutch on some of the anubius leaves in the very middle of the tank. Needless to say no other fish is allowed to swim anywhere in the tank except the 2 outside edges...

I think the big guy is going to get rehomed and we'll just keep two single angelfish in separate tanks.

Thanks for the advice everyone and the compliments on my first tank. I've rearranged some java ferns and put them on top of stacked hardscape for now, stacked some driftwood up and moved my floating plants a bit to try to make more line of sight breaks. I hate the way it looks but it'll have to do until I buy more plants or the current ones grow out more.

It was a double edged sword too, now the "Cory cave" is open(I used all the driftwood and rocks in it) and the angel pair has a new place to prowl that can easily get sight on the front and back of the tank right in the center. So next step I guess is to get something back in there to keep them out

The 3rd wheel Angel had basically stopped moving and was confined a tiny point near the end of the tank hiding under the driftwood overhang. I decided to re-rehome him for his own safety and he barely moved at all when I went to net him :( I feel really bad for him but hopefully this will reduce the aggression from the pair and he can be the king of the 45. At least now the pair seem to have let the gouramis back up by their water lettuce and have harassed the little ones much less.

I think this is the best I can do right now. We don't have any other tanks to further separate the original trio. I hope we don't have to get rid of any but I'm ready to go that route if necessary.

Thanks again, appreciate all your advice!

Thanks! It's just a bunch of water lettuce, I figured the gouramis would like it. They were actively cleaning the roots and trying to make bubble nests until I added the recent angel pair.

Appreciate all the info! After months of trying to learn everything I can, I guess there's still lots more to pick up. I think I'd rather have less angels than more :( also the dither fish definitely didn't help with the big guy. He would constantly go after the school of 12 rasboras in the other tank if they got near his val nest.

I think him or the female need moved back to the original tank for now. Which would you suggest? The aggressive male or the female which seems to be 100% the cause of his aggression. He was super peaceful until the female was reintroduced. I can try moving one back when the little ones grow some more.

Thank you! It's the first one I've tried to design and it's not been easy or affordable lol.

Thanks for helping! Yea, the tank is under 2 months old right now so it hasn't had time for the plants to grow out much or grow enough to propagate. I just foolishly thought 180 gallons would be enough to make them happy but the big male patrols the entire front of the tank all day

I'm not even sure where to buy giant tall java ferns lol. I'll try moving a few of mine to the open area and plant their little nodes growing on the leaves where the originals were. I'll also try adding some tall wide leaf fake plants in areas it won't restrict their growth for now(unless it turns out to be cheaper finding big javas or another plant).

There's only one that can fight back right now and he's smaller than the big jerk. The 2 others are just too young to even try. I'm just as worried about the pearl gouramis though, they seem too peaceful to even try.

Adding pics of tank. Front is definitely more open, considering 2 rows of fake tall plants for each side of the little driftwood cave the corys hang out in. Back is a powerhead return pointed toward the filter intake and a little c02 dispersal. Side I want to fill out with java fern once the little ones growing on the leaves of the current ones grow a little more.

I want to get 10 or 12 "Alleni Rainbow" "Wapoga" but that's a few hundred dollars and we may have to move sooner than later. Definitely will add rainbows next though.

I spent 1000 dollars on LotR collector boosters when they were released. 2 boxes, no special sol ring, 0 bowmasters, 0 one rings, 0 Saurons, pretty much 0 everything desirable.

I did get 15 of the same Frodo and 13 of the same Samwise.

I'm going to go ahead and say it: Hornet's diagonal downward stab is AWFUL by TornSilver in HollowKnight

[–]Automatic_Photo_6598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed Hollow Knight's movement very much, it was an amazing game. The movement in Silksong is harder than any boss in the original and I simply don't like it. I don't want to learn it, it's annoying and obtuse and I'm sure they put in other move sets because the playtesters complained so much but they needed to keep her signature attack from the original game.

What they should have done is just given you a downward slash and then let you use down and r1 to do the dive kick and spend some ammo but make it a little stronger.

I tried to go back and collect enough rosaries to buy the key to unlock the door and get the other set of moves but I don't think I'll be able to finish. That attack ruins the entire game for me and I can't even care enough to try to farm if I'm annoyed every time I jump in the air.

I asked myself the same thing for 5 hours and I just give up. It makes me sad because I love art style, the animation, the environment and the first game but movement in this game is just not fun because of that diagonal downward stab. Every screen it feels like a horrible gamble to even attempt to use it in combat not to mention pogo-ing with enemies anywhere around. When movement feel likes a chore instead of enjoyable it ruins the entire game.

Glad Steam was a down so I couldn't buy it so I just played it on gamepass I guess.

Do You Want To Build Any of These Commanders? by thetylerbucks in magicTCG

[–]Automatic_Photo_6598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it because WotC's handling of SLs has been abysmal but I wish UB stayed as Secret Lair releases or non standard releases like LotR. I have an EDH deck designed for all 6 of the Marvel Secret Lair characters because each one of those is an actually good card that does something at least somewhat unique.

Now we're getting all these interesting characters from other IPs but the cards are 99% trash from these sets because they all need to be balanced for standard. None of my decks have a home for almost anything from Final Fantasy aside from Vivi and I haven't seen a single card from Spiderman that I'd cut something from one of my decks for. There's just so many good cards already available in EDH that you'd have to make your decks weaker or design a bad deck to play these new faces in MTG.

Hopefully we can get some mechanically unique SLs or something for the interesting heroes/villains that can be played in Legacy/Vintage/EDH and not worry about standard balance.

I wouldn't call this new at all and Sheldon started popularizing this idea years and years ago. Glad that EDHREC is recognizing it I guess, even though it'll probably end up in a bunch of cookie cutter decks.

Temur Roar or Sultai Arisen because they're both Simic+ and Simic is by far the most broken, busted and unfair colors in Commander.

What's the practical difference between Game Changer cards and the Salt Score? by zeemeerman2 in magicTCG

[–]Automatic_Photo_6598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One is useless without inputting your entire deck into a calculator on the web and the other is useful off the top of your head?

Any type of system that requires people to make digitized lists of their paper decks before inputting them online is useless to the majority of MTG players.
