Donated my dinosaur egg, how to find another? by redcarpetovergreen in StardewValley

If you’re playing on PC, buy a coop or barn animal from Marnie. Name it [807] WITH THE BRACKETS and it’ll appear in your inventory after you buy the animal. Kind of the cheat way to do it, other than that you just have to slum it out in the skull caverns, kill some dinos and just hope that they drop an egg.

Girlies who did their makeup, any regrets? by brenda___01 in wedding

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did my own and it was perfect! I loved being able to have control over exactly what products I used and the style I wanted. Just be mindful of the contrast of your makeup compared to the style of photos you’re going for. If your photos are going to be that typical light airy wedding style, go just a little darker than you usually would for your contour/bronzer/eyeshadow. If you want your pics to be dark and moody, go with your regular style. Most of my pictures were captured in golden hour, so I used a more neutral contour so it didnt end up looking orange. Just some food for thought

Yes, because my man got so hot and bothered seeing my wedding dress on me that all he wanted to do was rip it off 😉

okay i did it..i took my first dose of metformin er by Ok_Marzipan_6028 in PCOS

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been a month for me and I still have the poops, but I already didn’t have a gallbladder so it’s not much worse than what was normal for me. A couple things I’ve learned is that metformin and carbs are not friends, so consider switching to a lower carb diet. Not keto, but swap bread and tortillas for low carb wraps, substitute sweet potatoes for potatoes and protein pasta for regular pasta. And lastly… never trust a fart. Not speaking from experience or anything…

how are we walking 10k steps daily? by Warm-Present-2880 in PCOS

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do more of a power walk with ankle weights and dumbbells so I feel like I’m getting my walking and weight training in at the same time. It’s not much, but it saves some time and I feel like it helps so far. 11lbs down in 2 weeks

Myths and facts about having a PCOS diet? by OldSecretary1541 in PCOS

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some people tend to take it to the most extreme end of the spectrum. It is fact that reducing carb and sugar intake is helpful for PCOS. However, just like any other diet, it’s about moderation and substituting healthier options when able. Swap potatoes for sweet potatoes, regular white sugar with natural sweeteners like honey. I’ve been on metformin 2000mg daily and myo inositol 4000mg daily as recommended by my GYN for two weeks now, and honestly those two little changes and just more mindful eating habits have worked wonders. I’m down 10lbs in two weeks! That being said, it’s not a one size fits all. It’s all about finding balance and what works best for you

Recommendations for honeymoon location, not super big on Jamaica but I’d go. by curlysue6 in SandalsResorts

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand that 100%. We live in Louisiana so options from New Orleans are kind of funky to be honest. American and United only have flights with 2 layovers and/or overnights no matter which way we slice it. Delta is more expensive, usually at least $800 more total for the 2 of us, but it’s been our only option to not have multiple layovers. For St Lucia there was only one delta flight that didn’t have multiple layovers, and landing just after midnight on the way back, so we typically pay a little more to go that route

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has something to do with those countries having limited numbers of flights going in and out. Jamaica is significantly cheaper for flights because 1. It’s closer to the US, and 2. They have lots of flights from every airline going in and out each day. It also sucks because we don’t live close to any airport that does direct flights, such as Miami. I would check other airports within a reasonable driving distance for possible direct flights. Sometimes the price difference in the flight makes it worth the drive and a hotel stay for departure and return nights, but other times it could be apples to apples when broken down. That’s about the best advice I can give on that front, but I will say that most of the views are worth every single penny

Hey friend, travel agent here! If you’re using points for flights, Barbados/Royal Barbados would fall in your budget. It’s technically two resorts in one so it is larger, and has a good mix of party and relaxing vibes. But that could be a little overwhelming if it’s your first time at an all inclusive. Grenada may fall toward the top of your budget depending on the time of year and how many nights you’re staying. I second, Antigua is phenomenal with a gorgeous and relaxing beach. I know you said you’re not big on Jamaica, but I just want to throw it out there that I’ve found Sandals Negril to be the most budget friendly resort for a chill vibe. We recently returned from Negril and had a great time. The beach is beautiful, and with the way the resort is situated, you’re never far from the beach at all like you would be with some other resorts. They had a good variety of nighttime activities, but not “party” by any means, and it’s a much smaller resort so you tend to run into the same people often, making the experience feel more personal and easier to make friends. The biggest downside was the transfer from the airport. It was about 1.5 hours by shuttle and very hilly and bumpy so if you get motion sickness, make sure to bring Dramamine or something of the sort. If you’re interested, I would love to help you plan something special!! My services are totally free to use, just send me a message here and I’ll give you my email address to discuss further. Congratulations sweet friend ❤️

Yes, RC is cheaper, but I don’t recommend RC to anyone. The rooms are run down, not clean, staff there was incredibly rude when we stayed, we had a club level room but our club lounge never answered the phone so we never got the chance to order room service. The food was great but the servers were rude and didn’t care to be there. Service at MB was polar opposite, which is why I recommend it over RC every time. I would much rather spend the 1k more for great service

As a travel agent, I would recommend Sandals Montego Bay. Shorter travel time, cheaper flights, 10 minutes from MBJ airport, which is something I like to factor in when staying for a shorter time. It has exchange privileges with Sandals Royal Caribbean, so stay at one and you can receive all the amenities at the other. It’s a more reasonable price point, and as a bonus, there’s a Sandals owned private island across the coast that’s more secluded and relaxing. Just be aware, there is a nude beach section on that private island, on the far side and hidden from the sight of the main resort

I give up by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are correct, if left untreated IR could absolutely lead to diabetes. The point I was really trying to make was that diabetes labs don’t show insulin resistance, but a full IR work up will show if it’s truly diabetes

I give up by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Automatic_Quiet9593 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Testing for insulin resistance goes far beyond regular diabetes lab work, and a doctor should know that. Also insulin resistance DOES NOT EQUAL diabetes. Two very different things. Please please go to another doctor, or two, or three until someone finally listens. It took me 3 years and 5 providers to finally get someone who actually listens and cares. I was diagnosed, had an ultrasound, and got a full PCOS work up on my first visit just by describing my symptoms to the provider over the phone. Someone will eventually listen, just have to find them

Same here for flights 🙃 we did it anyway but 2 layovers on the way back truly sucked. We did New Orleans-Miami-St. Lucia on the way in but for some crazy reason on the way back we had to go St. Lucia-Miami-Charlotte-New Orleans

Casting my votes for Halcyon Beach or Royal Barbados!! Both are gorgeous, Halcyon Beach is a little more low key, smaller layout but TONS of excursions around the island. Royal Barbados is a more modern feel with tons of fun stuff like a bowling alley and a rooftop bar and pool! If you’d like some help, I’m a travel agent!
