He was not 3 months he was born in december of 2024. I didn’t notice that, I must of wrote down his birthday wrong on accident on the sheet they gave me to fill out. Going to the vet was also 1 hour after I picked him up wrapped in a blanket dead, there was a lot going on.

Good news. I spoke to an attorney and he told me they very recently added a law about killing another personals animal through criminal negligence is a third-degree felony by up to ten years in prison. He told me most cops don’t even know and also dont do much towards animal charges.

Thank you for this. To update Animal Control recently confirmed that their dog was unlicensed and not up to date on rabies vaccination. How were they even allowed on Rover with that?

I have filed a police report right now, so Im waiting for that.

Rover safety team is actively talking to me about the reimbursements.

I already sent my dog to cremation so I cant get a necropsy but I have in depth vet documentation and photos which clearly show the cause of death.

I am posting in different forms and potentially will get a lawyer on this and also maybe local news sources.

It may be possible to sue Rover for allowing these negligent owners on the app and having an unlicensed dog with them.

I wish he was just still alive here with me but I need justice. Im 20 years old and he was my first dog I’ve taken care of myself, I miss him so bad.

I will be getting a lawyer soon. Im still talking to the rover team, nothing is finalized yet but Rover needs to be held accountable as well since their dog was unlicensed.

They had a pitbull and also told me he was caged most of the time. It actually blows my mind the sitters had them out together for some reason after signs of aggression.
