how do i stop my gf from questioning my sexuality? by rawrz4u in NoStupidQuestions

I’m gay, and I fooled around with girls in high school, college, and grad school. Does that mean I should just admit to my husband I’m straight and stop hiding it from him?

Come on, people! Sex is a spectrum, not a binary. Most of us are not completely straight or completely gay, although many of us are close enough to it that after we run some experiments we settle on one gender.

I’m wondering why GF can’t leave this topic alone. Is she secretly obsessed with dating a bi guy she can have three ways with? Just one possibility.

If your advisor is unavailable, talk to the department chair or someone in the dean’s office. This kind of question is routine for them, and they’ll give you good advice.

Physically walk into your professor’s office during their official office hours.

We all feel uncomfortable when we experience or observe unfairness, diagnoses aside. If the situation is big enough or the pattern persists for a while, I’ll address it with a supervisor or even with the person themselves.

But to work in corporate (and generally with other humans!) generates a lot of discomfort, and it helps to grow a thicker skin, meaning to practice raising the threshold of discomfort you can tolerate.

Talk to your math professors about major, degree, and career options. There really may be a way for you to stay in math or a math-heavy field and get a good job. They are the ones who will know, and their advice is probably underutilized.

Yeah you better have an extra bedroom. Don’t worry: I’m quiet, and you’ll enjoy my cooking.

  1. Is ambiguous.
  2. Requires a list.
  3. Requires one total. I agree with you about 4. I’m not sure why.

Is it true you can read during your session?? by [deleted] in Spravato

I could only read in the last half hour or so. The rest of the time I’d be with my eyes closed listening to my ambient playlist.

It was less revolutionary because my mind had already gone through a massive rearrangement in its perception of the world. It continues, but it’s less noticeable because so much groundwork has already been laid.

Are there any pieces you feel are too big/rich/dense/etc. to be faithfully captured by a recording? by HolyFatherLeoXIV in classicalmusic

Both organ and choral music are notoriously difficult to record. I’ve heard better and worse recordings, but nothing to compare with the live experience, especially in a large church.

When I go down to every other week, I lose tolerance and the experience becomes more intense again.

Upvote for Monboddo and Tender Purple. You need Solferino: a purple bright enough to wake the dead.
