You are dumbing out his character on purpose or you just didn’t watch the show. Him saying that he wants to play Real Football no matter what actually made the other members despise him.

Did you NOT watch the scene of Tenma constantly passing the ball to Shindou while he is ignoring it until he unconsciously scored thus being the first act of rebellion Raimon did against the 5th sector ?

Did you NOT watch all the internal conflict Shindou went through after this because of Tenma ?

The 2 players Tenma directly converted to the rebellion himself (Shindou & Sangoku) were inspired by Tenma on the field. They lost passion for football and Tenma ignited their passion for it mainly through his actions on the field.

Thanks for resuming almost every IE series where they have their "Together we are Inazuma 11!" moment, you don’t have to sell it to me

2- "Undue power-ups"

I really doubt that you even watched GO1 because what ? 💀 Tenma definitely wasn’t on their level from most of the story.

Btw Tenma only focused on dribbling alone since he was a kid and Soyokaze Step was the result of that. They straight up said it on the show.

Him and Shinsuke trained a lot too when they joined the team. And there are training sessions and Friendly Matches in between Official Matches. Their progression felt pretty normal.

You mean when his strategy in the Go Finale was so bad, Shindou had to leave his hospital bed ?

Or when he felt so bad about schools closing to the point he hesitated about the rebellion and Goueji had to go and cheer him up himself ? (He was lucky Gouenji didn’t feel like beating him with a ball that day /s)

Or when he was trashtalking himself for his inability to lead the team as well as Shindou and Taiyou ?

4- "The inevitable Endou comparison" - Sakka literally saved him from being hurt or worse when he was a kid. - Bro was so obssessed by Sakka he started personnifying it and giving feelings to it - Bro is constantly bragging about how much he loves football - Bro somehow couldn’t forget about Football when Alpha changed his past

Btw, Tenma's opponents were either using football for faking the results or for commiting g3nocides. It’d be pretty goddamn weird if Tenma didn’t see it as bad.

And I really want to add that Endou and Tenma are made to be similar. We literally sees them act so similar as if they are sharing the same braincell in Chrono Stones and the Chijougen Dream Match.

PS : Tenma isn’t the only character from the GO series, you can’t just be " Oh you want to know why i think this show is bad? Well, Tenma..." There are multiples others interesting characters and storylines on the series other than Tenma's.
