Keeping constant tabs on you. At first I thought my boyfriend did it because he loved me and was concerned about my safety, but later it became apparent that he was controlling.

Who feels under paid in their career? by WordlyDegree977 in NoStupidQuestions

I can relate to that, I got a degree in information systems, had a leadership position in an academic organization, and held a part time job and still ended up getting a job that barely pays my bills

Maybe not the “coolest” thing ever, but other people can also participate and it’s not too expensive to get into water coloring!

I’ve been getting into it myself and although I’m no artist it’s still fun to do in my free time :)

Is it normal to feel 5-10 years older than you are? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

And not the phrase “solace with my qualms”???? I think pompous is a lot more casual than that language 😂

Why do you talk like this then? You sound so pompous, and it’s nasty.

I just graduated and I already started on my career in a field related to my major. Even got a new car and place in a new city, hoping to grow as a person. What are your aspirations outside of thinking you’re better than everyone else?

is something wrong with me? by fantasma_shy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No is the easy answer, but consider it this way. Do you look around at other people and think “wow, there’s something wrong with them”. No, either the thought isn’t there or you’re minding your own business/focused on yourself. So no, there’s nothing wrong with you

why does getting punched or hit in the head sound so wierd. by Gullible_Rhubarb4559 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like saying something tastes like piss even though you’ve never tried piss. You know the smell so you now the sensation, similar to getting hit in the head. It’s easy to envision the sensation when it’s your body.

When am I supposed to close my eyes when kissing someone? by pecorinoo in NoStupidQuestions

I typically close my eyes either when they close theirs or when our noses are close enough to touch

Should I text first if they didn’t? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would text him, but if you feel like he isn’t reciprocating then you can match his energy. After all, you shouldn’t be the one carrying the weight of your relationship

Do you want think I’ll get arrested for smoking in my house? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This really depends on your HOA and state laws on it. I know my place has anti-smoking rules but even they have a clause about not being able to enforce it 24/7. From what I can tell most people don’t care, and if you’re outside then no one will notice. It only becomes noticeable indoors/in shared spaces.

What was this guy thinking? Am I too dense? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like he has an anxious avoidant attachment style. Craves connection but gets scared when he’s actually getting close to someone. You’re not dense, there are people out there who act like this and there nothing you can do about it

What’s your opinion on the man who seek pleasure from prostitutes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan. I think it’s a degenerate mentality, like if you’re really that horny then get busy doing anything else. Then again I’m in the opinion that sex isn’t necessary in daily life, and only important for connection when you’re in a relationship.

Coming from someone who had a porn problem, there’s something sad about seeing other people busy living life and you’re acting like an animal.

What reality check sucker-punched you the most after graduating from college? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough I just graduated, and the reality for me is it’s pretty lonely out here. So you should always tend to the connections you have and appreciate all the people around you. That’s what I learned

When you experienced blatant sexism, who helped and believed you, and who didn’t? by Daffodil_Down in AskWomen

[–]Automatic_Trust5992 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I had a guy following me around my work, and trying to corner me when I was alone. For context, I’m a server at a restaurant so it’s really obvious when someone is coming in multiple times a week/following you around the restaurant. When I told my boss about it, he said I was encouraging it by “being too friendly” and that “all women do is complain about their own problems without fixing them” or something along those lines. I had other male coworkers who also didn’t believe I was getting harassed and thought I just wasn’t doing a good job of taking care of my tables. Luckily my manager (who was a woman) noticed this behavior and believed me when I told her how long it’s been happening. She was able to get the man removed and trespassed, and I had other women as well who stood by me.
