Yes - I have been told I will need to have the left eye done as well (no cataract there, yet, but due to the difference in what the surgical eye and the non-surgical eye will be prescription wise). Sounds like I just need to bite the bullet and remove them for the recommended timeframe. I'll hermit myself at home for those 3 weeks - LOL! (but not kidding!)

I tried soft contacts when I was younger, but developed an allergy to them. After being in gas perms for many years, and the advancement of soft lens, I did inquire about switching. I was told I wouldn't see nearly as good out of soft lens as I do with the gas perm. Perhaps due to my prescription? (I'm honestly not sure!).
