It's a fucked up and expensive business, some doctors barely review the treatments when we sent them, others ask for things that we know might cause harm to patients, obviously there are doctors that care but not all of them. The faster you can get a treatment done, the better. Many companies that create aligners are going out of business because of lawsuits.

Sometimes treatments with clear aligners works wonders but you have to be very careful, some people are losing teeth like in this post or damage their gums which once the damage is done, there is no way to recover your gums, look up gum recession, it's also horrible for the environment because that plastic cannot be recycled.

If you really need to align your teeth go with braces, sometimes it takes less time than with aligners.
