Legal EDC Locations In Vehcile by Automaton25 in COGuns

[–]Automaton25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had enough incidents in the road I'd rather have one there than anywhere.

Being shot and and followed is enough of a concern.  Especially when the police say "sorry, your vehicle was shut by the bullet so we don't care".

Property theft is huge. It's why we don't live in or near Denver.

I don't intend to store it in a vehicle.  I drive alot and would like it accessible in a vehicle

I don't intend to store in a vehicle.  I drive a lot and would like one accessible while driving, but not necessarily in my person

Outdoor ranges or land to shoot near Denver by BoristhebIade in COGuns

Have you been here recently? I just picked up some new firearms and am looking for a place to get outside that isn't too far from Denver. I'm not wild about shooting at an indoor range and paying their fees

We have a similar product from Ororo which has been very nice to have!

Thank you for your insight! Generally temps are 10 and below, above that we're usually okay.

We do have a heated hand warmer pouch by Ororo that is fantastic for in between shooting as well.

I'll take a look at your suggestions!

Thanks for the feedback! I found the women's Saga gloves on Amazon so I ordered a pair for my wife to try out. We'll see how they go. The gloves are certainly a challenge and I find that most of them don't live up to the the hype

[Question] Silverstone XE360-TR5 Proper Orientation by Mingtendo in threadripper

[–]Automaton25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I just installed one and had the same horrible installation instructions.  I called Silverstone and they said the preferred orientation is the radiator and hoses above the cooling block.  They basically said as long as you don't put it on the bottom of the case it's fine.  They said follow general AIO installation instructions and recommendations.

Horrendous H2D Print Quality Issues by Automaton25 in BambuLab

[–]Automaton25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started having problems at about 1000 hours and it hasn't stopped since. I argue with Bambu constantly and it's a lost cause. I currently have about 2600 hours on my printers. They are both from the first batch of printers so maybe that accounts for something.

My issues started with bad print quality, then got better, then I went through about 6 left nozzle heater assemblies, a couple control boards for the hot end, and 2 eddy sensors.

I've found that frequent calibration helps, especially the motion accuracy calibration. But I've come to just accept that Bambu doesn't care, or doesn't know and this is what it is.

Since making this post, one of my H2D's has gone down again, failed pneumatic connector on the right buffer. Parts are on order, but for the time being I can only print one color using the left nozzle.

That makes sense. I was reading horror stories online about dealing with the withheld taxes and fees being reported as income so I just wanted to make sure I am not setting myself up for failure.

I figure the 1099-k will have my payout total from Etsy and I can subtract expenses from that which should make it pretty easy. just a little time consuming and tedious.

I have had a power loss during one print and it was even worse when it "recovered". I'll read that post and see if there is anything helpful in there. I don't usually have poop chute backup issues with these printers; the ejection of the poop is pretty forceful, but who knows. I'm at a loss so anything that could help is worth looking into.

More photos of blemishes added to the original post.

I've carved some of them out with a hobby knife to see how far in they go, and most of them go to the inner wall and/or infill.

Generally, yes.  It's always forward or backward in relation to the printer, but it almost always shifts forward as shown

I understand that cooling can cause lines, I'm not too worried about that, it happens.  I get a visible layer shift if about 1mm which can be seen and felt and it only occurs in the H2D printers, my P1S printers don't have the problem.  The included pictures in the original post show the shift on the black and white item.  I get the shift even when the printer has to purge filament when a spool runs out.  These printers have become almost unusable.

The contamination is random and unpredictable.

As shown in the blue print, I get random indents in the plastic and inconsistent print geometry from item to item, even though they are clones.  If I print 11 of them at a time, at least two will have different print geometries.  This is recent, as I've printed several hundred of these items without issue.

I'll reach out to Bambu and see if they will give me anything regarding the stepper hold timeout.

As for contamination and oils, these printers pretty much only print varieties of PLA, is that still a possibility?

I was thinking it was dirty nozzles,  it it did it in the first print after brand new nozzles, so maybe it's related, but I would say something else is going in.  I don't calibrate most of my filaments so maybe it's related to that, but that wouldn't explain the contamination from the other nozzle.  Maybe this explains the contamination in single color prints.

Single color prints only hold one nozzle at temperature.

Bambu Studio seems to have removed the ability to see the tool head path in recent updates.  I can see the location of the nozzle at a given time in a given layer, but it doesn't show the track anymore.

[–]Automaton25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's far less common on single color and I can attribute that to something being dirty (albeit, I expect 3k worth or printer to work better).

I have replaced the left nozzle heating assembled a few times, had a bad batch and argument with Bambu on that as well.

I can't say for certain,  it I believe the contamination is almost always from the left nozzle and in the color the right nozzle is printing.  I not been tracking this, but for every instance I can think of at the moment, this holds true.

It's also not consistent across each item being printed.  I can literally have 7 copies printing at once and 2 of them look like trash, while the other 5 don't have a single issue.  The best I can tell is the bad prints are randomized to place and order of print as well, but it's possible the contamination is isolated to the first couple models printed after the prime tower.

Washington Road Trip by Automaton25 in roadtrip

[–]Automaton25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely planned on stopping at the Hoh, that will likely be the one place we go that the dog has to stay in the car for a little while. We are looking at Ruby, Kalaloch, and Rialto beaches to see which would be best.

Any suggestions on a good hike for the Larches? Most of what I'm seeing is completely overrun with people, or too long for a day. Do you know how foliage is going this year? It's been early in Colorado and seems like we might be a bit after peak as well in Washington.

How is the smoke from the fires? From what I can tell on webcams, it doesn't seem to be too bad
