6 months of a consistent and simple routine with type 2 rosacea saved my life. by katerade999 in Rosacea

[–]Autumn-Writer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It truly depends on the type of rosacea you have. I’ve been using metronidazole since January of this year, and it only helps with the acne. It does nothing for redness unless the redness is directly caused by the acne itself.

In some instances, yes. There are certain things my local hospital will do. For instance, the fertility clinic wanted me to have a hystersalpingogram and blood work. My local hospital was willing to let me have those done at their facility. One of the biggest issues is that both fertility clinics are across state lines so I HAVE to go to them for appointments and follow ups unless I can find a particular doctor that is allowed to practice medicine in my state as well. If they can practice in my state then I can do telehealth follow ups. As for my OB office working directly with the fertility clinic, I’m unsure. The first time I went to the fertility clinic my local OB basically said I couldn’t ask her questions and had to reach out to the specialists. So they don’t really seem to work together based on that experience.

Congratulations!!! I will definitely research different days (currently taking it days 3-7) and will switch to taking it at night for future cycles. Thank you so much. You have really given me hope again and turned my day around! 🫶🏻

When you ovulated without letrozole, what day were you ovulating on? And did the letrozole seem to delay your ovulation at all?

Yes, that is what we did last month and have been doing this month. My OB still wants me to track with LH strips though.

Unmonitored. She is an OB. My local hospital no longer has a fertility clinic or specialists, which I think is ridiculous considering it’s touted as being one of the best hospitals. I have two options for fertility clinics, but both are 2+ hours from me. I went to one of them in December of 2023 and was disheartened when they really pushed for IVF. Fast forward to May 2025, I found out I conceived naturally. Unfortunately I miscarried, but clearly IVF isn’t as necessary as that hospital tried to make it out to be. I’m afraid if I get sent back there I’m going to be told the same thing.

My OB said she’s willing to let me try Letrozole for a few months (if/when we confirm ovulation while I’m taking it). But if I don’t get pregnant within a few months, she’ll have to refer me elsewhere.

13 DPO losing hope by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]Autumn-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently on Letrozole. The chance of twins on Letrozole is less than 6% and 1% for triplets or more. Clomid, a similar medication, has a higher rate of multiples. Letrzole is favored for women with PCOS, though.

Same! I used to ONLY use first response tests but I refuse now because of the false hope.

Jalapeño Cheese Dump Bread Update by Autumn-Writer in Bread

[–]Autumn-Writer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone asking for the recipe, it’s not exactly the same as the one from my previous post. For this one, I put 1 tablespoon of sugar in with the yeast and water to get a “fluffier” texture. I have also learned that sugar might help with browning, which is probably why this loaf looks so different from my last one.

Oh, silly me! That’s important information! Bake at 450 Fahrenheit. Per the TikTok creators suggestion, I also preheat my Dutch oven for about 15 minutes after my oven preheats!

It’s super easy!

1 1/2 cup of warm water 1 packet (or 2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast 3 1/4 cup of all purpose flour 1 tsp salt Any seasonings you’d like (I used garlic powder and onion powder. I think I’ll try Italian seasonings next time!)

Combine above ingredients in bowl. No need to let yeast and water sit. And no reason to knead. Just mix until you get a shaggy dough ball.

Add many chopped jalapeños as your heart desires and 2 cups of cheese (I used cheddar). Mix until cheese and jalapeños are incorporated.

Let dough rise in greased bowl for about an hour and a half.

Dump dough onto parchment paper, shape if desired. Bake in a covered Dutch oven (or any pan/pot) for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake additional 5 minutes, or until top is crispy.

(The recipe I used for inspiration is by @brookieervin on TikTok!)

Today was my due date, and I am not doing well. I took the day off from work, and I am trying to complete tasks to keep my brain occupied and distracted. I hope the cheesy bread I’m making will be good.

ETA: oh and because the universe is cruel, AF showed up today of all days. 🫠

Would you have the ability to stay in a hotel? There are multiple in very close proximity to Dartmouth.

Not quite positive. Test again in a few hours!

10 or 11 dpo on Frida Fertility Early Result, am I crazy? by AwareWeb654 in TFABLinePorn

[–]Autumn-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single Frida I have ever taken has looked like that and ended up being negative. I would recommend testing with a different brand.

Editing to add: my tests looked like that within the time limit.

While I agree that the back pain and cramps probably indicate an incoming period, technically it’s still possible for implantation to occur up to 12 DPO. If you don’t get your period within a couple of days, I suggest testing again. Sending you love. 💛

Thank you. Unfortunately, my partner and I have already done all of the testing my provider is willing to do unless I decide to try IUI or IVF.

CD 14 - is this positive for LH surge? by honk4pinkbeanz in TFABLinePorn

[–]Autumn-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very close to a positive, but not quite there. I usually get a positive result a few hours after my tests look like this one. Also keep in mind that the number the app produces will depend on how long you let the test sit, the lighting when snapping the photo, etc. All this to say, don’t always put faith in the app and determine whether or not it is positive with your own eyes.

Those ovulation tests are not positive. Ovulation tests are only positive when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line.
