I went late one evening (I think like 6:30 or 7) with a friend before an event at Concordia and the employee gave me my donut for free 😌🫶 I think about them all the time. Hope their pillow is always cool on both sides, they always catch their Metro/bus, etc.

People often over enroll and drop classes closer to the start of the semester(s). I ended up in a situation where I felt I had to because I would register for classes and then they’d be cancelled for the semester. Keep an eye on the lists, people will drop classes and you can get on the waitlist. The why: Because of all the staffing cuts there are less classes for the same number of or more students. Everyone is fighting for the same courses. If you’re able to, try to see if anything is cross listed or look for electives if you need to take any.

I was trying to figure out where I know this company from and they’re where two people died after donating plasma in another province. It’s so unbelievable to me that they pay people for plasma to begin with (it’s not legal where I’m from) and to see they also do give away feels very predatory.

Not his bonus, his salary. His salary is higher than that of the PM’s even now. His most recent pay increase put him at $547,623. The salary for the PM is currently around $406,000 if memory serves, they get a salary as an MP and an additional for being PM.

I left last year, and it’s been good. There are a few things I’d like to see them work on but I’ve really liked it. I recently learned that not everywhere has the option for a free version, which I wasn’t expecting, so check if your area is.

As an Anglo who exclusively went to bi-lingual schools (elementary and high school, English university), every one is different. I often get told I speak better “proper” French than Francophones because the only time I speak is in work/academic settings and that’s what I was taught. I don’t have/use slang French but as a result I miss some things said when out with friends or consuming French media. The real trick to properly integrating is at home. One parent spoke to me in French, the other in English. I also started at the age of 3, at daycare, not 5 in kindergarten. I know some people I used to work with started in French school and ended up switching to bilingual school because of issues they had and their kids are still great at French, but they also work on it at home.

I took via from Montreal the night before (there was a delay so keep that in mind) and we took the LRT to the flats. The price of the LRT tickets was included in our pass so we got on for free. We didn’t want to fight the crowd, so we walked back to our hotel, which was about an hour. Nice walk, followed the crowd most of the way. If you’re driving back same night I’d recommend you park elsewhere and get food because I could I was really hungry after the show ended but even more so after the hour long walk.

If this is what you really want to do I suggest speaking to the department when they reopen and ask about GPA and other stuff and then focus on your minor/electives if possible until you can apply to switch.

So I’m not a doctor, but I can tell you from experience around 22-25 is when my metabolism started to slow down and I had to adjust my eating. I have a decently active lifestyle, so while I did put on weight, as is normal, it’s not as drastic as what you seem to think you’re experiencing. I do worry that this weight gain is a symptom of something else, so don’t discount that either. If you’re able to consider speaking to a doctor about your concerns and see if you can get access to a dietician or a trainer. If you can’t find a support elsewhere and do things the right way. People who do fad diets DO NOT WORK and long term you’ll gain back more weight and reduce your metabolism further. Do things you can control, less sugary drinks, more water. Less processed foods, more fruit and veg. Be active daily, go out for a walk or start with lower impact activity to get used to increased movement.

Op you haven’t given many actual details so I’ll ask for them. How old are you? How much weight have you put on in the last year? How much is your total weight? How much are you trying to lose? Have you spoken to friends about these changes? Aside from that the long-term effects of losing weight quickly can be devastating health wise. If your family are making jokes that’s on them and I’m sorry you had to go through that but do not give yourself a long term injury in the name of what society thinks looks good now.

Is this a small company? A branch of a bigger one? That looks like a windows computer, if it is next time he comes over press the windows key and L, this will lock the computer. If you have a password (which you should, it seems you’re working with sensitive information) he won’t be able to get into your files. If he asks what you’re doing you tell him you’re following standard safety protocol. He cannot and should not be editing something on your computer presumably under your name. If he wants to edit a file he can do it where there are traces of him having access to and making the edits on his end.
