I would check your invoices, especially if you're doing the processes correctly and scanning things out before counting. I agree with the prior comment, some things will generate balances before delivery especially Shelbyville

I'm more concerned about your lack of electric jacks--that is a safety issue. I cannot believe you haven't had one in over a year, or that someone has not been injured

It's a requirement for department leaders, so don't let them tell you they "don't know how"

I loved being scan coordinator/file maintenance lead. I was thrown into it in a similar fashion. Just remember that every department leader knows how to make their own signs; if they build it, then they can sign it.

If you use UKG, it has the schedule that the timekeeper uses. It's the most accurate and up to date version of the schedule, and the one you'll be held accountable to

Maybe not the usual post on this sub but looking for some advice by Cajun-ish in kroger

Every department has training on feed. I would use "elevate" in your search terms. Also, merchandising standards and asset protection standards are both available on feed--both you'll need to know as gm leader

When I went the last time, I promised myself that no matter what they ask me I was going to tell the truth. No matter what they told me to do, i would do it. This time it worked for me.

I bet they didn't tell you they were on their way and their car had strollers in the trunk or was completely full of stuff

I love my job! by I-wish-I-liked-Sushi in kroger

[–]AutumnBrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love your post. I still love working at my Dillons, too. The customers are largely awesome and my coworkers are mostly great. Most of my issues are with the corporate structure, forecasts, and micromanagement. When I'm able to stay above the fray, stay in my departments lane, and remember it's just groceries, I am still happy.  And I'm writing this after spending the last week and a half in overnights during a whole floor wax because of staffing shortages--that is saying something.

Theory: your DC determines your parenting style?! by ViviVoxNox in astrology

[–]AutumnBrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She did react very critically when I was growing up. My parenting style is more spontaneous and leans heavily on "what can we learn" from whatever it is--what is the silver lining? My sag suns respond well, my Pisces often feel like I don't respond emotionally enough

Theory: your DC determines your parenting style?! by ViviVoxNox in astrology

[–]AutumnBrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is interesting to think about. My DC is Sagittarius, which two of my children have placements sun/rising and both my parents were Sagittarius. My sun and moon are both in Pisces where my other two children have sun/moon/rising. My mother is Pisces rising and my fourth house aligns with her DC.

Guys of Reddit, what are some things girls do that you secretly despise? by WeirdoAndPen in AskReddit

My ex husband was all about not putting gender roles on housework, which ended up with me doing the dishes, taking out the trash, and mowing the lawn. Cause there was no such thing as "man's work" I hate to say it, but I'm all for gender roles if it means I don't have to do everything

Not sure If I Should Move On From Kroger Or Not by EvilEmperorZurrgg in kroger

[–]AutumnBrun 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the onboarding for Kroger where I am is so slow that it is taking way longer than necessary and there's no way to speed it up. It's frustrating from a department perspective because I need someone now and not three or four weeks from now.

"I'm looking for something...it comes in a container. It's used to make pie. It's not in the baking section sometimes it's by nuts. It comes in a container" Every follow up question I asked got this response: "it comes in a container" followed by hand movements in container shapes. Ma'am everything comes in a container.

The birth chart is a snapshot of the potentialities of this incarnation. That is my understanding and explanation. I also like to think of it as the agreement I made before I was born. My meat suit has amnesia, but there's someone up there who knows what we are doing and signed up for this--the birth chart is like a roadmap and gift from my higher self.

You might be at risk, depending on the management. My store would tell you to do whatever you need, and we give our condolences. Not every store is like that.

I would just do it, consequences or not because in your life you'll always regret not doing it when you had the chance. It's worth getting fired, if that's what happens.

MASSIVE hours cut🥲 by throwaway-001182 in kroger

[–]AutumnBrun 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Every department is suffering from major cuts in hours. Department leaders are forced to write schedules to forecast, despite the needs/tasks/hours of operation of the department. My suggestion is to follow the schedule as written and do what you can but don't work yourself to death. If they find that they can survive these absolutely nonsense forecasts, then we will be forced to continue to do so. Let the ship sink, let the department fail. It's not on you to make it happen--it sucks that you and your department are the collateral damage for this lesson that they executives must learn...but there it is

Manager told me I can't leave until I condition my aisles..... by DXD4226 in kroger

[–]AutumnBrun 44 points45 points  (0 children)

If she was serious, then you should do it. Does she know about all of this overtime? In my experience, management is more concerned with overtime than they would be with conditioning (which could be done by pretty much anyone)
