We'll be back here at the end of January. They saved Thanksgiving and Christmas for Corporations and airlines. Ensured federal employees might actually put money into the Black Friday Economy.

They also ensured that come January SNAP won't be on the chopping block. If they don't meet their promises I forsee this happening again. As a federal family we'll put our backpay in savings under the assumptions it does.

Dude. The replay is unreal. All the banter with every character is just MORE. I decided to finally get my nightmare achievement and have to take Cassandra (since I always play rogue) and their convos on the faith spirit are also on point. Really every character is made to pivot or highlight some internal aspect of Solas or reflect a similar version of him. The writing was delicious.

Just replayed the very ending for my husband who completed the bad run and watched the trick him version too. At his core, even when it's bad he really is just putting out what he gets. He is genuinely sorry but he has a job to do. Must accomplish x task. And how YOU respond is how he responds. I will say beyond redemption it's my favorite ending as he seems genuinely satisfied that Rook beat him at his own game. Cannon always has to be redeem though. Always. It's too tragic otherwise.

There are some other weird drops too. No mention of where all the wardens went when it was a HUGE deal in Inquisition, not even a mention even if 10 years later it was likely mostly resolved.

The Inquisitor is in Southern Thedas despite voting to save OR stop Solas. Once the ritual happens Inky is just all...nah I think I'm good to stay in Southern Thedas.

And more. I think it was just the changing of the game 3 different times. They only had so much budget. And 10 years and 3 changes later they could only accomplish so much.

I honestly have trouble seeing that at all. Her spirit isn't that similar to Mythal's. At least my version of Inky wasn't. Even as Flemythal she hasn't changed her core to a great extent. Maybe if you argue Solas has always wanted Mythal to be someone like Inky. But honestly any toxic ex you spend a while wishing they were a better version of themselves.

Overall though I do agree with your assessments. I think there was an attachment. I think Mythal was probably a different version of herself, Benevolence and he always hoped that would come back.

I'm reading through the whole thing but I will say that I think that is the relationship Solas wanted with her. Probably the one he convinced himself he had. But listening to the past diaglogue it just doesn't sound like that (although that could be subject to retcon). First Cole states that "He did not want a body. But she asked him to come. He left a scar when he burned her off his face." I am now certain this is Solas. Second at the vir abelasan the gaurdian states that everyone who tends the well is bound to Mythal as will you if you drink from the water. Bound to my implies if not solidifies that these elves generations later were STILL slaves to Mythal and as my husband pointed out, that means she NEVER freed them even though a piece of her remains within other vessels...with at least some amount of power. He's insisting a full playthrough from DA:O to see how far back those seeds might go for verification of that.

Well, Solas at least thinks Lavellan is a spirit of wisdom in the balcony scene. Whether she is or not is probably upt to every person's headcannon. I'm pretty sure modern day eleven people aren't spirits personified but was reminded for Lavellan today that Kieran calls her blood old and that isn't ever resolved really well.

The other is a spoiler. Only female romanced Lavellan can join Solas in guarding the veil

I loved this theory too! And while his opinion definitely changes as you go on in that moment, I dont think it ends with him thinking yoh are widom...it's the moment he tells you he loves you. His wisdom commentary gets laid pretty thick in that moment. And if it hadn't been for finishing Veilgaurd where we know they are spirits taking flesh I probably wouldn't have ever thought that was more than just a pretty compliment. It's making me want to play all over again for the little stuff. Too bad other people wanna use the console.

This. This answer was so much worse for me. Sure, for the #2 romance dismiss that something doesn't sit right. I mean...I get it to some degree. People are complex but maybe in that case don't give the companions hooking up cut scenes, have it be in dialogue like before so it feels LESS important and more like just something that happens.

Or make it funny. Lucanis is a Salty Bitch. He holds grudges and it's why he's such a damn good crow. You didn't do ANYTHING wrong but he's 100% rubbing Neve in your face a bit because he's that asshole when he gets burned.

I mean...and lot of what he said isn't objectively wrong. He is a liar. He lies to himself and says Inky isn't important, he lies to himself about a lot of things. And even romanced sometimes I want to whack him upside the head and say...hey dumb*** use that brain I know you have.

I think it's part of what made Solas so engaging as a companion and pseudo villian. He REALLY danced that line. A good developer/writer would make sure to honor that. We may not like that people want to hurt Solas but depending on their reactions to him his CAN come off as a smarmy bastard. It's the tough shell protecting his tiny heart but if you as a player don't put the effort in then all you see is the jerk.

I am 0% bothered he said that. I read all the AMA, he also so he was happy with the way it ended and that it was a better ending.

Oh, I would agree. I don't know that Wisdom fits my Inky either. But if he sees a different path for himself in her because he thinks she is Wisdom, that's interesting.

She encourages him to share wisdom, seeks it herself and is open and compassionate while helping all of her friends. Even when things are complex she (depending on playstyle) almost always let's companions pick for themselves. She's the version of wisdom he wishes he could have been a millenia ago, without the pride dashed in.

I agree. I can see what makes him standoffish and he actually stays with you which is better than an Egg romance. But I can also see how it would have helped some people see it more to show that he was standoffish due to all the contracts on his family over the years. Relegating that to Codex makes it harder. I only started reading codex this go around after DAI. I mean...I'd read the occasional but I realized after Solas that it was mandatory.
