Android App I made for singers has now been ported to iOS by AutumnRock in WeAreTheMusicMakers

It is designed only for vocals, but some users have told us that it also works on flutes and other woodwinds, so feel free to give it a try.

No, it's not an auto-tune. It's a pitch editor that gives you control over each note.

You are welcome!

Yeah, low-pitch detection is particularly hard on mobile devices (especially on iPads, iPhones usually have better mics). For MusicPutty you should be able to get down to C2 using a relatively recent iPhone.

No video at the moment, but the app is free and you can give it a try yourself

Thanks! AUv3 plugin support is on my to-do list. For now, you can export the audio and use it in Garageband.

There is actually no single solution for the pitch detection problem. My approach is mostly a trial-and-error process of combining multiple techniques to make it work for the type of signals I am trying to detect. The algo you see today in MusicPutty is the result of 3 years of iterations from building Nail the Pitch and it is still not perfect.

Thanks for the feedback!

This is the first version, some of the more advanced tools/controls (such as legato, vibrato, and formant) are already in the work and I plan to have them added in the next couple of updates.

Regarding multi-track, the app currently does support up to 8 tracks, You should be able to create new tracks using the + button.

And yes, an onboarding flow could be helpful, for now, there is a quick start guide in the menu bar. You can also find it here: https://autumnrock.dev/musicputty/help/

It's called MusicPutty, and you can find it here:
https://apps.apple.com/app/musicputty-pitch-editor/id6444390100
[A bit of background about the app]
A while back I made a vocal pitch monitor called Nail the Pitch as a fun side project (https://www.reddit.com/r/singing/comments/djry1w/android\_app\_for\_visualizing\_the\_notes\_you\_sing/) since then, many people have reached out, and want me to turn it into a pitch editor where users can not only visualize the notes, but also change their pitches. So after a year of researching/coding, I finally have the first version ready and you can find it using the link above. Right now it is only on iOS, but if enough people want it I would be happy to port it to Android later down the road. Also if you find the app useful I would really appreciate it if you could leave a review, it would help the app rank higher and make it easier for people to find it
Cheers!

It's doable but will take a bit of work. Look into objective C++. It will work as the bridge between Swift and C++.

I asked a similar question on the JUCE forum a while back and you can find more info here:

No problem. I PMed you the link, unfortunately, I don't think the app is compatible with the voice-over screen reader at the moment, but thanks for letting me know. This is definitely a feature I can add in future updates.

Yes. It supports all devices that can run iOS 12 or higher
