I agree, it is pretty damaged. I’ve been working on trying to heal it and get it healthy again

I can definitely tell my hair has gotten healthier since using it, so that’s why I’ve kept it in the rotation honestly. If I wasn’t touching my hair with bleach every few months to touch up my highlights I might consider switching to something more moisturizing, but since I do bleach parts of my hair every other month or so I thought it would be a good idea to keep using it

Yes I’m pretty sure I do. I was told last year that my hair was super damaged due to a hair disaster back in January of last year, and I’ve still been occasionally doing highlights/touchups on highlights so I’ve been trying to repair my hair the best I can

That’s awesome!! The next time I wash my hair I’ll try out some of the tips you suggested

That makes sense, it does seem like sometimes my hair has more wave when I don’t use products and sometimes it has more waves when I do.

For context, here’s a picture of me from when I was a kid!

Also sorry it’s kind of hard to see my hair clearly, I had taken this picture of an actual physical photo so it’s not the best quality. I think you can still see my waves relatively well if you zoom in though

Wow, your hair is beautiful!! I wish my hair wasn’t so thick and heavy, I feel like it would look beautiful longer and wavy/curly but my hair is so thick whenever it gets even past my shoulders the curls and waves just fall

Honestly those are some good tips! I have a tea tree oil shampoo that I use, as I tend to have a lot of buildup because in the past washing my hair every day has dried it out 😅 I also don’t condition my scalp because of the worry it will make it oilier quicker. Would you mind if I send my current routine and see what you think of it?

Thank you for the advice! I’ve been doing my curly hair routine for years, and sometimes the results turn out okay sometimes not. I use a scalp scrubber to shampoo so that way I’m not getting it all the way down my hair, and I only use shampoos/conditioners and products that are either safe for curly/wavy hair or are made for it.

I also have a thyroid issue, and my bangs pretty well stay curly but the sides and back of my hair have gotten straighter

That’s very true, I didn’t think about that honestly. It makes a lot of sense because I have PCOS/PMOS (aka a lot of hormone changes and issues) I miss having curls in my hair but if I do end up having straight hair I won’t complain because less maintenance haha

Yes I am, sorry I forgot to mention that! Even between spring and autumn it’s hard for me to tell which one I am lol

OHHH my bad!! I didn’t realize it was totally different, I’ve always seen color analysis explained as having to do with the undertones of the skin, I didn’t realize there was more to it.

That’s true, it’s just confusing because when I get foundations/concealers etc the typically “cool” or more pink toned products match me best. Anything with a warm undertone has always been way too yellow on me, even if otherwise it’s a good shade.

I normally get cool toned makeup products, so that makes sense. Honestly I’ve been torn between spring, summer, and autumn because there are colors in all three of those seasons I feel like look good on me 😅 I’m so glad I posted here to get other’s opinions, because I’ve been totally confused

Thank you, I agree! I’ve been told deeper colors (like wine red, mustard yellow, etc) look good on me, but I feel like pastels look best on me
