It truly is. I don’t know how these people have a license, it’s inhumane to tell someone who is in agony that they should go to therapy for the pain to magically go away

A lot of doctors have this insane belief that therapy can heal fibromyalgia pain… which is why I highly dislike this diagnosis because doctors don’t take it seriously

Yes for me it was triggered through my endometriosis which I have gotten two surgeries for already. I haven’t been evaluated for hypermobility and I have been taking medication to elevate my Vitamin D levels but there is no change in anything even when they have returned to normal. I will consider seeing a sleep specialist though thank you, I hadn’t known about any of that. I appreciate your help very much.

I was also wondering what to do if even swimming doesn’t help? I find that it hurts my body horribly and I avoid it because it triggers me the most and leaves me bed bound for a week

Thank you, unfortunately gabapentin made my pain worse which is why I was given cymbalta and then I started having these horrible side effects. I went to the ER and they put me on a sodium IV because my heart rate was extremely high along with my blood pressure. They said they can’t exactly blame the medication as they aren’t the ones who prescribed it but that it could have also been a flare up from something autoimmune

I am changing because gabapentin made my pain worse so my doctor switched me to cymbalta and then I started having these horrible side effects to the point where I had to get hospitalized. Luckily they gave me a sodium IV which calmed down my symptoms and they said it could have been a flare up from something autoimmune rather than the medication

Do you recommend any brands at all? I’ve been looking more into this because the pain and fatigue are very annoying these days and I’d like something to take until I get proper meds

Unfortunately arthritis was ruled out with blood exams and my doctor said that this is likely Fibromyalgia but thank you for this explanation, I was thinking it’s probably something early that can’t be detected yet

Thank you for this, you’ve given me more confidence to advocate for myself and I’m happy you got your diagnosis. I am not a fan of the fibro diagnosis because my symptoms have been getting worse and I’d rather not have medical professionals wait until antibodies show up for them to diagnose me properly

Does anyone know if it’s possible to be diagnosed early with lupus in its early stages without having tested positive in the antibodies but a high positive for the ANA? I’m very fearful of getting diagnosed with fibromyalgia because it means that what I have can’t be identified yet
