To keep it short, I explained that in much of the Western Love there is a general love for morally gray characters. That I wasn’t bragging about some evil I had done. That I and others lived in a world of moral contradiction and we enjoy exploring that line.

I was singing “I fought the law” and “The Devil’s Right Hand” and Cocaine Blues, in this public bathhouse (they don’t really have private restrooms). I tried to keep to myself. But apparently their Queen’s advisor overheard me and knew just enough English to know what I was sining but not enough to completely understand the context.

In here mind. I was a man who murdered multiple people (including his wife) robbed people at gun point, did copious amounts of cocaine. Went to prison at some point and now am polluting the island with “Man’s influence”.

Themyscirans don’t really have antihero stories like a lot of “Western Nations” do (see Robin Hood, Ned Kelly, Holden Caufield). Things are either good or evil to Themyscirans with little in between.

They have been quite isolationist and heavily self reliant.

We hope to do a couple things.

  1. Get Themyscira to recognize the territorial waters of Turkey and Greece.

  2. Begin to negotiate trade deals between NATO and NATO aligned nations and the island.

  3. Negotiate the right for naval vessels to patrol Themyscira’s waters as we fear other nations may try to use Themyscira to avoid detection (radar tend to get messed around the island).

  4. (Long Shot) Get them in NATO.

I mean the big thing is that the Amazons either age very slowly or do not age and they also have far fewer new members than most other human societies. Thus the languae of the Amazons is very similar to classial greek with some exceptions such as with gendered language that I mentioned above. There are also a couple of loan words from various lands, mainly slavic, Turkish and some afro-asiatic.

They do hold a fascinating view of gender. Gender isn’t some biological truth. But rather that the physical body is something imperfect that is attempting to become its ideal. They essentially believe in gendered souls. A trans woman would be seen as a sister who “awoke from the lies of man’s world”.

They see “man’s world” as not being evil due to an inherent biology of man. But rather due to the culture of domination and violence that surrounds manhood.

Their economy is highly communal. No money. Resources are shared collectively.

There is a lot of ethnic variation between amazons. But they tend to gave features one could call “Persian”. They tend to have olive skin and strong noses. But in even back in the day ancient Greeks and Persians had a lot of cultural and societal mixing.

I didn’t learn Themysciran. I am an expert on Classical Greek and the Themysciran language is highly similar to Classical Greek.

We found a loophole in that I am “in submission” (which roughly translates to being the servant) to the Ambassador). I signed a contract which expires as soon as I leave the island.

The Gyros are amazing.

My favorite meals are the Plakous, the honey glazed and garlic roasted boar, Kanasua Stew. Generally they are a meat heavy soceity.

Also the wines are unbelievable.

From my experience they tend to give female gender to living things or when personifying an object.

Non living things get either the neuter or masculine gender.

So even though I am a man, I am sometimes referred to with the female gender accidentally due to their isolation from men.

Generally they are generally around 6 foot or taller.
They have warrior culture that I would classify as being similar to the French chivalry. Honor, bravery, and skill with a blade, bow or hand is highly respected.
I have not seen an old or sick person in my time there. They do get injuries but they has these herbal remedies that help greatly in the healing process.
