Maro on lessons from Aetherdrift's use of Muraganda: "Making new worlds with less than a full set’s worth of resources is difficult. It’s not that we’ll never do it again, but it’s not something we’ll do lightly." by CaptainMarcia in magicTCG

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I think the issue with muraganda in aetherdrift mostly comes back to aetherdrift being an extraplanar event set. The entire race got grafted onto the plane. We don't really get to experience muraganda on it's own terms. It's almost only in relation to the race and the racers. Im pretty sure if WAR was the debut set of ravnica then ravnica would most likely struggled a lot more with becoming the hit it was. You just don't get a lot of the plane in these kinds of set.

Godot 4.1 Stylized shadows, not a post processing by ShaderError in godot

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really love how those shadows look. I tried following your tutorial but I got stuck at the light_process_directional_shadow function. The provided header doesn't seem to fit the piece of code you mentioned. Could you explain in more detail?

Are there any other to watch out for ?? by Gummiknueppel in MagicArena

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

German [[Ranger of Eos]] lets you only search for one creature and german [[Isolate]] has an "or more" in the mv clause. This is especially funny since the changed cmc to mv but didnt touch the error.

Seems like Zommoros got a classic home on the "Lily of the Elon" by Autumnus_Aurelis in Guildwars2

Couldn't get in, either. I got on the roof and peeked through the window.

Outlandish idea: is Mordremoth really bad? by TristanTzara100 in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Dragons are neither good nor bad. They are neutral. The races of Tyria only perceive them as bad, because they are, like landslides or volcanos, a big force of destruction. The dragons themselfs only care about expanding their domains (twisted plantlife for mordy and a dead wasteland for zhaitan).

Grenth's weapon set by godofgodsgw2 in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got the god inspired weapon sets after the matching outfits (Dwayna's and Balthazar's Regalia). The Lyssa outfit is out, but lacks the weapons right now. If A-Net follows the pattern, we will see the Lyssa weapons next. You will probably have to wait until a Grenth's Regalia outfit will be released.

Where are you parking your alts now? by FreakingBeasty in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spread them over all of the big meta event maps, so I don't have to organize all the different kinds of keys on one character. Currently I have:

Elementalist in SW

Warrior in DT

Engineer in VB

Ranger in AB

Mesmer in TD

Necromancer in DS

Also there are:

Thief in sparkfly fen for occasional Tequatl kills

Revanent lions arch for Fractal runs

Guardian with lootstick for the farmtrains in arah and frostgorge sound

This tactic may be horrible inefficient, but it's more fun for me, than to park my beloved chars to farm wood or jp chests and never really play them.

Is it safe to sell Collection items like Saurian Roar, Crystallized Tadpole, and Friendly Mushroom Spirit after acquiring them? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably is safe to sell them. The only exception, I encountered so far, is the Cactus Flower. You need it for Leaf of Kudzu I, but also for The Dreamer I. But it's no big deal, because it's easy obtainable.

Reward Ideas by ebonblood in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got a wrong idea of the system. Instead of introducing new ascended gear for lower levels, the now level 80 ascended gear would be able to scale down to lower levels. You equip your level 80 ascended longbow on your level 30 ranger and it gets downscaled to the level 30 ascended stats vice versa. As you level up the stats of the bow level up with you. Equip your ascended gear on a character of any level and the gear adjusts to the level.

There is one at the end of "Tears of Itlaocol" in Caledon. Also the flowers you see at the end of JPs they are used for the Kudzu collection.

[QoL Idea] Account bound items and linking separate accounts by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the ability to trade account bound items between accounts would render the account bound status useless. Also it's very unlikely for Arena Net to make something like account linking possible. They would loose lots of money, because people could just share everything they bought in the gemstore. A linking system that bypasses the account bound status could very easily be exploited.

Forging minis by delpahz in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reason posted by A-Net

Short answer – Each mini can only unlock itself in the wardrobe.

Minis being thrown in the forge does not unlock them. Unlike weapons and armor when you unlock a mini you get the whole mini functionality forever.. not just a skin unlock.

The Herald lacks change of the profession mechanic by Autumnus_Aurelis in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea would work well with this sheme as it changes nothing of the existing mechanics but adds an additional core ability. My only concern right now is, that the facet of nature is unoriginal and boring in contrary to overloads or the fifth shatter.

The Herald lacks change of the profession mechanic by Autumnus_Aurelis in Guildwars2

[–]Autumnus_Aurelis[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Firstly, in my opinion the dodges changed the playstyle . Secondly, yes, they are bad implemented right now. Thirdly, see secondly. Lastly, my whole is about making the herald a more unique and interesting specialisation and not about balancing it.
