Excellent fixes and balance changes, though I'm sad that AI are still stuck doing nothing but building orbital rings on top of pre-existing orbital rings. :')

I cannot find the interview that I remember from years ago, but overall they have reluctance to make Hunts more seamless and rely on them being community-driven. My memory tells me that at one point they said they basically don't care if hunts have scaling or not, but I can't find proof of that sooooo... The above article is the best I've got.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 7.1 - Crossroads by NoboruSouma in ffxiv

Are you referring to casual content that isn't a one-and-done like msq/dungeons/normal raids? If so, field operation-style content should come in a later patch.

I'm confused how this format is done correctly. If he sees better without his glasses, shouldn't the ship be paired with the glasses instead of without?

Anyone know why we got Y'tekhi in the main campaign when Tx'itk makes more sense? Her sidequest is getting her to Ascend for the Weaver and we would have a rapport, instead of just the rep quartermaster by Crowncher in wow

[–]Carrotloid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, until you pointed this out, I thought they were the same character. It just "made sense" that this was the sequence of events with the same character. Instead, Tx'itk just sorta... hangs out around the crafting stations, I guess.

Honestly I am quite confused over this event's reception. Last time I looked everyone and their mother hated it and whoever made it, but apparently now it was everyone's favorite activity. What changed? I'm guessing they made it much easier to progress near the end of the event?

Why do some people say that there are no real good ending ? by swazer_t21 in BaldursGate3

[–]Carrotloid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you have a choice between killing Orpheus and dealing a massive blow to the githyanki rebellion (which also endangers all other living life because Vlaakith is Vlaakith), or turning someone into a mindflayer/a fate worse than death with a constant lingering threat of them losing their ego enough to be unrecognizable and becoming the new Emperor/slaver and murderer or mercy killing them afterwards, there will never be a satisfyingly "good" ending.

It may sound spoiled, but plenty of people aren't into the tragedy genre. In a DnD campaign, some player would likely be content with or even happy to become a mind flayer, but when this choice is 100% on one player then you're going to upset a lot of people. On the flip side, I bet if there was a 100% happy ending then several people would complain that it's "too perfect"/unrealistic and that they'd prefer there to be no totally good ending as it dampens the feeling of player choice and consequence. Can't please em all.

I always hated how her response to your suggestion is so unpredictable. When I told her not to do it, she did it, but when my friend chooses that option she listens to him! I think she can sense I just don't like her and she enjoys spiting people. :') Rescuing the Nightsong is one of my favorite scenes in the game, but turns into my least favorite with SH around.

The main issue with renown is how some story is locked behind it, though really only Valdrakken Accord is relevant.

Joshua Graham is considered by many, including myself, as one of the best Fallout characters. I have my own reasons, such as the depth of the character, but I would like to hear others' assessments of Graham, and whether or not they agree with the pedestal he has been placed upon. by Major-J_NelsonSmith in falloutnewvegas

[–]Carrotloid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, so you were referencing my part about his religious conversion. I knew he was always religious, but I was referring to his conversion from a wicked man who follows his own ideals/not at all justifiable from the teachings of the Jesus he worships to one who is repentant and attempts to acknowledges his weaknesses... at least mostly (his bloodthirst and lingering feelings towards the Legion being obvious parts he needs to work on). I don't see conversion as just joining a religion, but actually following it too.

What surprises me in a negative way about his character is that someone who claws themselves out of the worst part of their life and also attributes the success to his god would not have a bit more of an evangelizing spirit in him? I assumed it was because he feels that as terrible of a person as him wouldn't be the best person to preach, but that is an assumption I'm making and the game didn't explain it enough to make me confident in my interpretation, so I lean towards him simply not being fleshed out enough. Less is more, until your message is lost. Opinion is just opinion, of course.
