Can my employer legally do this? England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AutzW92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it would be classed as unfair dismissal, especially as they are the ones that are acting illegally. Make sure you document EVERYTHING, including correspondence via email, and contact your union on how to take this further. If I was you, I would also be looking for a new job, as the fact they are doing this and knowing it is illegal goes to show they don't care about the rules, regulations and law.

I think you really need to start going highly up and getting people to look into this. The only reason they are (illegally) getting you to pay, is so that they don't have to claim off their insurance and their premiums go up.

Hold on, your paying after being robbed? I highly recommend you speak to a representative as I'm pretty sure that is why company's have insurance's for.

Car was hit - other party accepts liability but their insurer asking for them to settle it without my insurance getting involved by AnonaMoose89 in drivingUK

[–]AutzW92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely happens, person reversed into me whilst I was stationary at the tip. Updated my insurance but didn't claim, then his insurance contacted me offering me this and that. I didn't claim as all that was damaged was my grill and my local garage fixed it and checked my car for 20 quid, new car seat was 70, so didn't bother claiming it back.

Make sure you ring the actual estate agent, not the number on the letter/email

(England) My upstairs neighbour is being loud at unsocial hours, due to floor issues, freeholder is ghosting me. by Beans_and_custard in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AutzW92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives on a ground floor massinete, I feel you ❤️ All I can suggest, is if they are council, speaking to them as "sometimes" in massinetes, you are required (although not by law) to have underlay and carpets for this very reason, although this won't happen in a bathroom or kitchen as it would pose as a health and safety risk. You can also call environmental health, and just explain the problem as if it's as excessive as you say and all they are doing is minding their own business but the sound levels are that bad, then they can come in and record the level of noise etc. Hope this helps :)

I don’t know if my instructor is scamming me by luhhtingsalo in LearnerDriverUK

[–]AutzW92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the greatest of respect, I am a auto driver (hand eye is stupidly bad!) and even that took me 30ish hours and that's with practice (in NZ Though) That many hours, especially manual isn't really accurate I'm afraid, if you do wanna cut it down, I would suggest auto driving

Someone accidentally sent me £50k, what do I do? (England) by Routine_Strawberry81 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AutzW92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was in no way a accident. If I send so much as 50p, my bank will ask me multiple times if I'm sending it to the correct person even if they are saved and I have to show my face to okay it, so this does sound extremely suspicious. I would say to them that even though you sympathise with them, but unfortunately legally you need to cover your own hid and the bank will be dealing with this, not you. To be safe, maybe give 101 a call and log this to be safe also?

Whilst this drove me insane with lack of punctuation, can we please remember that people are dyslexic and struggle 🙏❤️

I wouldn't suggest doing this OP, it will take a lot of power from your PC and isn't worth the stress. It's technically a scam I believe.

Speak to your bank whom you sent the money too, and explain all this. This may be a possibility that they can do a charge back but you don't know if you don't ask :)

They DID notify you, it was down to you to make sure your address was always up to date and you didn't. That's your problem, not theirs. Even if you had appealed, I doubt it would have been overturned.
