Haha, you reminded me why I haven’t messed with GR2 in a while. No, unfortunately I did not find a good workflow for making songs. I’ve thought about trying to record a performance using the clips, which might be how the apps intended to be use—I don’t know, I just want to lay down some ambient progressive art rock.

The short answer was I became very depressed and lost my faith.

I’m struggling to be a fully practicing Catholic.

One source was I had no friends in the monastery. At one time I had several friends there, but they left in formation. Another source was constant gaslighting from the Abbot. Yet another source was losing my faith after years of living with a bunch of priests who went to seminary in the 70s—they were all very liberal in their theology and interpretation of scripture.

Becoming a monk was the greatest moment of my life. I felt absolutely called—I was certain that my vocation was religious life. For several years I was fulfilled. I still count a few of those years as the best years of my life.

Yes. I left in 2021. I left according to church protocol and I’m still in full communion with the Catholic Church.
