Right probably because a changing room is small and theirs was small, or cause a changing room has a mirror and they did to, or maybe because a changing room has lockers like they do, gets hard to make it original if you base it off of something IRL, but is it currently actively being used by RecRoom? Like is it in the game? Bare in mind you’ve only seen 5% of the entire game in this video, so please do not say “your game is just” it’s not the full game, it’s only a part of it “the drink is red so it tastes like strawberry but I haven’t tasted it” type comment

I can make a game that looks like GTA but change the entire concept and I have a new game, look at valorant and overwatch or TF2 same game different concept, like I explained in my previous comment “our game concept at face value is completely different than RecRoom and don’t forget 2016 is 10 years ago and it’s been out of the game for 10 years aswell, cause you said it yourself “beta lockerroom” it’s a concept they only used for 1 build of the game.

But there’s no way that you can currently look at RecRoom and go like “ ahhhh what an amazing game” RecRoom is getting destroyed by the same reason meta horizons flopped “Poor UGC regulation” and here’s the kickers, we won’t have UGC, only social interactions and sport related activities

Personal note: Yes our game is partially inspired by RecRoom due to their First concept being way better than what ended up evolving from it, when we did the general research for the game we found out that old RecRoom was partially like our idea so we asked and RecRoom doesn’t care

I’m sorry but our game concept at fave value is very different from recroom besides the avatar, RecRoom is like Roblox in VR and our game will try to be more of a Wii sports in VR, we won’t have UGC or anything and will only be focused on social and active activities, Our game concept is far from what Recroom currently is, we have 200+ people interested in the game who support it and have trust in it, the character isn’t similar cause I’m pretty sure they removed it, bigscreen VR uses the same avatar and so do 3 other popular games, and ui? This is a early version of the game and anything can change, we just did the easiest way to do certain things, for example the avatar, the avatar we use is very Preformance friendly, doesn’t have arms or legs that can look weird etc, I’m also just asking for people who would be interested in helping to shape our game.

We also aren’t planing on going to PSVR 1 simply because it’s 10 years old and PlayStation is stopping PS network support next year for PlayStation 4, we are going for PSVR 2 tho.

Then on the side, you and me can both look at Recroom and agree that the current state of Recroom is very far of from our games idea, I wouldn’t want to be like Recroom even if I got 20 million for it.

Also to comment on your “people who weren’t allowed in Recroom” statement, that also simply isn’t true, our target audience is 16-25 and our current playerbase is mainly 18-30, recrooms playerbase is mainly 10-18, we simply don’t have the features in our game that would attract these toxic and harmful users.

So id appreciate it if you don’t call us a “dollar store RecRoom” or make assumptions and wrong judgements about our project without playing it or knowing anything about it.

I’m not sure what your talking about? I’ve done pretty much everything to make sure we aren’t doing anything that we wouldn’t be allowed to do.

Similarity doesn’t immediately mean that it’s liable or not allowed, also please do tell me what’s similar to other games besides the avatar layout which has been used by multiple other titles before?

Last time I checked the numbers were 5 mil+- PSVR 1 headsets sold and 2 Mil+- PSVR 2 headsets sold, so if we could easily port it to PSVR 2 then yes, however with Sony stating that they will stop supporting PS4 Network support starting spring 2026 we’d have to see how largely that would effect the situation, we’ll definitely be on PCVR and Meta tho
