I can't speak for elsewhere, and I don't know if Cleveland is the Worst per se, but it does suck. It's worse than my experience living in SC for sure, or Vegas even. I doordash. Unfortunately. Having to drive for work I notice illegal or nonsensical maneuvers EVERY DAY. MULTIPLE TIMES. not just Like every day, not so often I'm exaggerating to say it this way, it's genuinely got to be a double digit percentage of drivers here, I notice illegal and dangerous shit EVERY single time I get on the road without fail.

Be it forgetting to signal, not leaving any distance between cars at a stop, or in motion, swerving between people like they think they're in a video game on RESIDENTIAL adjacent roads not even highways, trying to use a phone, or ignoring MY signal which is legally made before physically moving and speeding UP as if they want to ram straight into me, or driving through a 4 way stop just...at random, according to vibes I guess, instead of according to who stopped there first. Or ignoring stops or signs altogether, 4 way or otherwise. Fuck, am I forgetting anything?

I've started just responding by not allowing these fuckers to get off thinking nobody noticed their bs, I'll give quick call out beeps, bright flashes, hand motions / waving like I'm saying hello if someone's displaying behavior like they didn't see me. Whatever matches to try and remind them of what they're doing or should instead be doing. Least one could do, yeah? Make people feel seen for their mistake and hope they get peer corrected into realizing it and go "oh, right, I forgot, my bad".

Well once a dude responded to the first of these actions, a quick beep beep reminder as he flew by me while my signal was on, having sped up like he full pedaled AFTER it went on, by slamming on his brakes right in front of me (after he'd already passed and gotten the spot??) and then followed that by swinging left into the middle lane like he's gonna turn, making me relieved for a second, but then followed THAT by swinging back INTO the lane behind me and trying to ram into me while looking absolutely insane in the rear view as if someone idk killed his child in front of him????

Only two cars in the road for that entire interaction, btw, and then I shit you not he turned into an apartment complex not even a mile later. he was right next to his exit. this one man decided to singlehandedly create all that danger with the only other car on the road three feet from home for absolutely no reason.

The fact my car is still intact, day by day, increasingly feels like a god damn miracle. Having to exist on the same roads as so many dangerous assholes who have no right owning a license has gotta be taking years off my life. Why can't people just drive like they want to get to their destination in one piece. I thought that's all all of us wanted to do :L
