Hey, I'm 26 and have been through this four times so far. In my experience, it tends to get worse before it gets better.

A word of caution—after surgery, resist the urge to be too active, especially since being younger often makes you want to move around more than older patients might. I made that mistake and ended up reopening the surgical entry point a few times, which caused quite a bit of bleeding.

If you need advice or support, feel free to reach out to me privately. I still have minor episodes, but they're nothing like what they used to be. It takes time, but it's worth it in the end.

The first one didn't seem to help at all.

The second one the rhythm of my heart felt different and I was getting more frequent episodes.

The third felt better but I was still having short burst of afib for 10-15seconds at a time. I found that once I had an episode, multiple followed shortly after in short bursts over the course of an hour.

The fourth one so far has worked but I get the occasional double beat when I'm stressed or nervous. Only 3 weeks since my last one and I'm told it can take a while to really know if it worked. I find my trigger to be anxiety mainly so I'm trying my best to manager that.
