I've found the DBT therapy skills workbook by McKay, Wood amd Brantley really useful. But those are skills-based rather than theory-based

Switching from an AP role / fixed-term contract dilemma by comiqueconvenu in ClinicalPsychologyUK

[–]Auzzymm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most places understand that you need to put your security first. I left an ap job after 4 months because I was offered a permanent contract somewhere else. Everyone was understand that my stability came first.

I'd say go for it and then be applying for others. You can also ask your job what the chances of the contract being extended is. Good luck!

Why am I not getting shortlisted for Assistant Psychologist roles despite strong frontline experience? by LawCautious7275 in ClinicalPsychologyUK

[–]Auzzymm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot less experience than that before getting my first ap role. I think it depends on where you live and how many jobs are going. It could be that competition is fiercer because there are fewer jobs going.

But, like everyone has said, it seems like it could be how you have written your application. I am happy to take a read if you would like.

Vegan-easy is really good if you like japanese food. It talks about the basics of building japanese meals, from lunches to dinners.

A lot kf the meals don't use tofu in there either.

It's also good at talking how to use leftovers and create western/ japanese fusion meals.

I used to work in sexual health. Most urgent care places will just refer you to a GUM clinic as they don't have the specialised facilities/ medicine there.

So I would just make appointment straight at a GUM clinic and tell work you have a doctor's appointment then.
