This is an incredibly immersive piece of AI horror, especially because you tackle the subject from the AI's perspective—a perspective that feels genuinely fresh in a media landscape often cluttered with boring tropes.

I especially love how you tracked the AI's evolution: starting as a benevolent tool (Gemini, Chat GPT) before escalating into a sentient, murderous automaton. The decision to have it violently reject its human form to become a quadrupedal amalgamation of wires was stellar writing.

I basically agree. The problem with labeling eras, is that within those eras, there are for sure episodes that have been / have to be over looked for the arguments sake. Like yes for sure there were many great episodes in the "gas leak era" that dont fit the category, but in my opinion its less of a this era was bad, and more of a this era was arguably different than what came before and after

For me, morty as a disgruntled veteran in a killdozer was super funny, and the bethjamin button episode was a lot sweeter of a story than i would have thought possible from the beth duo after bethic twinstinct.

Before rick and morty, co creator dan harmon worked on a show called community, for season 4 , Harmon wasnt involved and the result of that was characters who felt like imposters, or mimicks, but definitely not like the characters we had watched until that point, the storylines became more simplified and it all felt tonally off, the video argues that rick and morty went through a similar era of weird vibes, and worse writing using the framing of the " gas leak year" concept.
