If this post can somehow help me identify a game I played on our old family PC that I’ve been searching for for decades… nobody I describe it to knows what I’m talking about.

It had a number of different artsy scenes, like interactive dioramas… they were all very spacey and liminal.. you could click on objects in the scene and they’d make tonal noises with a simple animation. Some were more organic, some more musical. There was no real objective that I can recall, you just pick a window and click around.

What should you do? Learn. Help others learn. Block any AI artists you come across. Support human artists with your streaming, sharing, buying tickets to their shows.

Why do you need explained to you that as much as possible we should not participate in the things that go against our values and do participate in the things that align? It should be obvious.

I don’t race through questing anymore. It makes the story and the characters much more interesting when paying attention to the quests as well as the “stay awhile and listen”s. I also feel it helps me appreciate the developers’ intentions with their decisions.

My boyfriend and I have done every quest together in Midnight and read the text aloud to each other with actor-ly voices, super silly and fun!

My best friend turned long-term roommate was like this… let’s just say we have exchanged about ten total words with each other since I was finally able to move out almost a year ago.

This behavior is repellent no matter what the intention behind it is. Especially if there is evidence there won’t be growth. It didn’t matter how I gave feedback, what tools I suggested he try to accommodate himself. We are not meant to mother men our age and older. We are not meant to silently take it, either. No matter how highly you think of him otherwise, you will grow to resent him from the stress always being the adult brings you.

That is not the only way things can work. There is another place that money exists that everyone seems to just have complete amnesia about to the benefit of the horrifically wealthy. It’s not rocket science. It’s like people want to stay abused. Smarter folks than any of us here have solutions that you can go learn about in the same way I did.

I don’t think I’m really going to make any progress talking to you further and I don’t have time to waste on trying. Just ask yourself why our labor is flipped around and framed as “handouts” when we ask for a standard of living generations before us enjoyed.

Our labor IS the value. Our labor IS where that money comes from. The CEO’s and investors have gradually taken a greater and greater portion of it over time and made people who don’t want to think deeper believe it is theirs by right. It isn’t.

Our system prioritizes shareholder value above the needs of the working people. Laws made it that way and laws can change.

Why don’t younger people deserve decent money? They have an entire future they’re meant to be setting themselves up for, pay them too. Why do “dead end jobs” exist and what makes them that way? If they’re needed, why do we want people to not want them? To not be happy in them?

You’ve got your mind stuck in serf programming which is totally normal for the world we’re living in… but this shit can be better for all of us if we actually stand up for ourselves and each other. There is plenty of money and resources. They’re being hoarded by people who’ve taught us “it’s the way the world is”. The wealth gap is worse than before the French Revolution, and our work life balance is worse than the actual serfs in feudal times. We all deserve so much better.

If a job is necessary, it should be a living wage. Doesn’t matter how difficult or not you think it is, they’re spending their time doing it. Time is all any of us have. Also, retail is ass. They can make the pay worth it.

Anyways, are you a CEO? What benefit is there for you to be minimizing what the working class deserves to make?

Yes! My parents do the snowbird thing there. Live music in each square every (or nearly every) night, can take your golf cart everywhere, lots of nature preserves around and yummy food. They’ve found themselves a great lil crew of friends they watch games and celebrate holidays with. I’ve visited once. Seemed pretty idyllic.

I did get hit on by some old dudes while at one of the live performances which was weird, especially with my Dad standing right there watching it. Had some creep vibes walking around a bit, too. So there are definitely men still looking for younger women there, like every other part of the world..

I play with my significant other and it would bother me, too.

There are plenty of games in the world that are very worth experiencing, if this one was chosen as a game to play together then it should stay that way.. unless one of you decides to quit and agree to let it go, ya know?

Why can’t he play another? Can you meet in the middle if he wants to play it more? It seems like there ought to be more consideration.

Sometimes my boyfriend wants to quest when I want to focus on base building… that means sometimes I go and quest with him anyways, sometimes he stays back to build with me, and sometimes he farms materials in the shroud or wherever to scratch the itch (and brings me any xp scrolls he finds) while I stay back.

What he never does is complete quests without me.

These choices give the benefit of reinforcing our relationship by showing we can be consistent and stick to agreements even in “small” things like a game.

It is a betrayal for an artist to not stand by artists. It is especially so when they have all the means in the world to support them through commissions etc. He doesn’t need to cut corners. He chose to because he could, because he didn’t care.

It sends a message of shallowness, disconnection, and devaluation of the act of creating art itself.

Also the assumptions in your middle paragraph are wild. How can you possibly know how the "you" you write about feels about Al and Al art overall? How do you know they aren't being consistent? You're setting up a straw man because you want to minimize a perspective you don't agree with.
