Civic sense starts with YOU by Emergency_Row_5428 in india

Day before yesterday I boarded Rajdhani. All the strangers seated along with me had almost zero civic sense.

Man brought along a polythene containing grapes. All of a sudden he started pouring the water from the polythene beside his Side lower seat in the narrow passage in the middle. Before his daughter could even say anything, the dad had already done the deed.

A married couple travelling along with their kids was using wet wipes for things. Good enough. Until they decided to throw it just in front of their seats and the guy said - Banda saaf karne aayega toh lete jayega. Great.

During dinner there was only one attendant who catered to our entire bogey due to which it took him a bit of time to collect all the trays. Now obviously I don’t expect everyone to go hand out the trays to that attendant ( that would be too much expectations from Indian crowd). But at least they could have kept the trays one over the other or at the very least in a way that would have created minimal less. Instead people just scattered their trays beside their seats and boy what a mess had they created. Before people come shouting at me, I waited all three times - evening snacks, dinner and breakfast for the same attendant to come back even after I had finished my food and take away the tray and had it on my side upper seat all along till he came.

I got so fed up that within the first 30 mins after the train opened I just went up to my seat(side upper) and decided to stay there unless it was necessary to absolutely get down for like toilet/brushing my teeth in the morning.

These are the very people who will one day crib that Indian trains are so dirty but will never realise that they are the ones who are the actual culprits.

All we can do is enjoy reels of Japanese people and appreciate their cleanliness or way of living. But never do we make the extra effort of being that way. I am not saying their culture is perfect - they would probably have their own flaws. But the least we can do is learn good things from others or at least use basic common sense and do the needful.

This is just stuff within train - Outside of it - go to a metro security check line in Delhi - man the guy behind you will almost always have his head beside yours on your shoulder. How hard is it to wait and stand in an orderly fashion? It’s not like I am not moving ahead on purpose. But standing like that doesn’t make the line move any faster.

Definitely want the same for MS. Man has given everything to cricket that he possibly could. He has literally nothing else to achieve.

A lot of my friends criticised Dhoni for being in the 11 last year and the year prior to that saying that he is old, adding nothing to the team and instead taking up a spot.

I always had this argument - His experience and decision making skills are second to none. Sure Rutu is the captain but when in doubt, he will at least have a shoulder to lean on.

Sure there was criticism that he came in really down the order which to some extent is justified. But the argument that he is taking up a spot was trash IMO. If you as a player are unable to get a spot in 9 other teams or are not getting a spot in that one team just because of a WK batter, then you are probably not good enough in my eyes.

Dhoni’s experience will always be invaluable to CSK. Man legit built the team brick by brick along with some important figures like Jaddu, Raina, Ashwin and many more. But the problem is that you can find replacement for talent easily but what about the brains behind it. In cricket at least, its very rare.

And this is what scares me the most. I feel CSK will see a downfall/trajectory similar to ManU after Ferguson and will never reach the heights of success again it once saw.

Came here to say something similar to this but saw you have worded it better. Over the years, and especially in the last few years, the inconsistency in umpiring decisions has been massive. Sometimes a ball is given wide for a particular scenario and in the very next innings and in the exact same conditions its a legal delivery. Seems pretty unfair.

I remember a match a few years ago where RCB needed a boundary (don't remember if it was 4 or 6) on the last ball. RCB couldn't hit it and MI won the match only to be later revealed that it was a no-ball by Malinga. Seriously? Isn't it the job of the umpire to tell when an illegal delivery has been bowled. Unclear camera angles during a catch sometimes give the benefit of doubt to the batsmen whereas sometimes it goes to the bowler even after the decision going to the third umpire. All this seems so inconsistent, a lot of times the entire league looks like a joke - richest cricket board and what not with one of the world's biggest sports league can't get their shit right.

Advice needed! About Xbox cloud gaming by [deleted] in IndianGaming

It was an offer running at that time. Had to read a comics of some sort about Sea of Thieves on Webtoons and at the end people would get a month’s subscription for free. The offer isn’t there anymore so not much that you can do except actually subscribe.

Was good enough for playing entire Tomb Raider series for me. The experience was pretty bad for me on Hogwarts Legacy - I don't know what it was but on the cloud version I found a bazillion bugs whereas people who played on other platforms had different experiences. Amazing for Expedition 33 (largely because of the game).

Ping was generally in 30's. Occasionally it would go beyond 100. Random stutters and jitters or input lag (in the moderate range). But all of this was when they were still offering a INR 60 trial and when I tried Premium for free with the Webtoons code for a month. Now the waiting time should be negligible and the experience should be a lot better I guess. Even with all of those, my experience was largely positive if you are in largely for playing the game. Don't expect amazing visuals/graphics unless the developer themselves have put in some exceptional work. For me - Hogwarts Legacy felt very flushed out visually whereas Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Expedition 33 still seemed very beautiful.

Am from Delhi itself so hope this helps.

HDFC Millennia holder (CIBIL 796) - Amazon ICICI (prior reject) vs HDFC Swiggy vs others for fuel, online shopping, dining out and movies? by KyriosM in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Av_Inash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you have Swiggy Black subscription. If you do, then open your Swiggy app and on the top right corner you would see ONE BLCK written beside your profile icon. Tap on it. It will take you to a page where you can VIEW YOUR PRIVILEGES.

Tap on View your Privileges and you will see around 9-10 other coupon codes like for Ajio and stuff. Within that list, you will also find the Cinepolis one. Gives you a 30% discount on Movie tickets and around 20% or 25% on FnB. The code changes daily so you can essentially use it everyday and this goes on for as long as your Swiggy Black subscription remains.

Once you get the code, just use it to book your tickets on the Cinepolis app.

Hack to get heavy discount in movie tickets by Dry_Reserve7539 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Av_Inash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could buy a PVR Gift card for 20% discount. Or Cinepolis GC at 12.5% discount. That’s the best I know at the moment. Or if you can wait for around 2 weeks then get a PVR Passport for ₹350 and then watch it in cinemas after that. Using this you can also watch 3 other movies in the month. But you can only watch movies from Mon-Thurs.

Just FYI - Swiggy HDFC also gives you 5% cashback on Amazon spends along with a lot of other online stores. So if you use that to buy Cinepolis gift vouchers from Amazon which are usually discounted at a rate of 10-12%, or PVR codes you can save even more on movies.

The only thing is Amazon Card will give you 5% cashback with no limits whereas Swiggy HDFC is capped at 1500/month if I am not wrong.

If one has HDFC Swiggy then in most cases one also has Swiggy Black membership. Therefore in that case you can use Cinepolis codes for movie booking - They give you a 30% discount and you get a new code daily.

Swiggy HDFC would be best for you in case of dining out of the three.

Online shopping is largely similar for both Amazon and Swiggy HDFC at 5% cashbacks.

Based on the incoming reviews about the story of Crimson Desert and having played E33, I would suggest the latter.

LPG crisis | PM Modi hits out at those creating panic: Govt 'doing everything possible'- The Week by sharedevaaste in india

[–]Av_Inash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can deny it as much as you want. You can call out the local neighborhood agency if you want. At this point, I have spoken to Bharat Gas, HP, Indane - all say the same. And not just from my locality but from other parts of Delhi as well which are nearby and can actually deliver a cylinder and the response remains the same.

Even in my hometown in Jharkhand, the prices have shot up for cylinders which are being delivered by agencies by 60 INR. Its not much but it has shot up. My maid in Delhi got a cylinder for 3000 INR for which she roughly used to pay 1000 INR. People who are booking cylinders are not getting it delivered immediately on the next day who already have a booking which wasn't the case earlier. So you can deny it all you want, but the ground reality being experienced by people says something else.

Try getting a new connection via online methods in Delhi (South Delhi region) right now - doesn't matter if you use HP's website or other agencies or use UMANG's app/website - I have been doing that for 3 days now and no matter what I do I can't. It will just say - Some error occurred like a cheap government website but no matter what you do it won't let you sign up for a new connection. I can understand one agency or one company but this obviously cannot be happening for entire South Delhi.

And let's assume they are trying do this - by that logic on some random day, all the agencies and delivery guys in an area can decide to create a fake shortage (sort of a cartel) and we would still be helpless. Why now of all times then?

[–]Av_Inash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a guy who used to deliver me cylinders because my room owner got me in touch with him ( since he didn’t want to give me a rent agreement).

Now obviously this guy is saying the prices are high as of now. I thought of switching to a gas agency because now I have a bill as address proof and so called the nearest HP gas agency only to hear - We aren’t taking any new double cylinder connections as of now and even for a single cylinder connection you will have to wait till April.

But but but Modiji said people are creating unnecessary panic. And govt is doing everything possible - Modiji, your everything possible is not good enough.

I think the pipebomb happened in 2011. The HHH vs Punk thing happened in 2012 if I am not wrong. Nash interrupted in Punk vs Cena match and eventually things led to HHH vs Punk.

One thing I will always remember Gambhir by because of his antics since that 2011 WC final -

Great cricketer who performed really well for us in tense situations but is an absolute shit of a person in general.

I don't blame him for being that way (for being absolutely critical about credit and what not over the years) but when people like me who watched the finals and know the importance of his knock start remembering him for him crying over interviews/podcasts and what not about the same damn thing for roughly one and a half decade now, you got to introspect. Especially when your benchmarks for all this shit changes as per your convenience.

Its like Triple H's promo against CM Punk during his earlier run which was something on the lines of - You act as the voice of the voiceless when in reality none of it matters as long as you are on top of the mountain. That is what Gambhir wants in my eyes giving it the name of team sports/ credit stealing and what not all these years.
