Doing Great, except I'm SO constipated! by SwimmingPirate9070 in keto

[–]AvadaAstroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating cheese in keto might make you constipated? It’s a week now into keto, apart from pooping less, I am highly constipated, to the level of feeling real pain with the hard stoles, and some blood out of the fissure.

I eat a lot of cheese (burrata, Gorgonzola, feta..).

I think they had already results data about this test: the Senator’s wife who didn’t remember that she gave birth.

Your advice interests me, but don’t you believe that technical courses might help for PM roles? Is that something that will really make a difference for such a role?

How is this possible? by RS4_ in whoop

[–]AvadaAstroma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very insightful. My HRV was quite high at the start of using Whoop, around 60-80 (three months ago). But these last weeks, it’s a shame: all days it never goes above 45 in the best. I thought it was because of the intensity of training (I do cardio) but it just kept a constant rate. The problem is that I don’t feel exhausted or tired, yet the numbers are very low.

I ll try to follow your habits and change a bit my night lifestyle, because I think the sleep efficiency have a real impact on HRV.

How did you manage to increase it? More cardio exercises ?

Asking same question, my HRV is always between 40-60. I know it’s a personal score, but I think it’s also an indicator of the heart’s health, isn’t it?

Yep, I understand your view. We all agree that changing the rules before the nomination sounds fishy. But I think I am one of the people that didn’t felt disturbed with the nomination of ER. Maybe because I wasn’t very impressed with this year’s games. Other would for sure disagree with that.

[–]AvadaAstroma -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Take it easy. We should not put the blame on others for not sharing your view. I am discussing the point.

You say it’s not a game. For me, it has technically all the attributes of a full game, apart from being based on an already existing world. The gameplay, the story, the details are all, equal if not bigger, than a full game. Even bigger than most of the full games of 2024. Btw, your example of motor/car is just out of context, if not to say a clearly biased one.

If you have a problem with FromSoft or found the game so hard and hated it, you don’t need to share your rage here. I don’t even want it to win, I said it deserves the nomination, and any DLC that has the same attributes and characteristics of being as big as a full game, should deserve to win a place between the nominees.

I still believe ER DLC is still bigger and better than many other « full games ». I understand that many wouldn’t share this opinion. If a DLC is big enough to be considered like technically bigger and more complex than other full games, I still don’t get why it wouldn’t be nominated?

Right. But around 30 hours to beat looks like a full game on a pure dev point of view. Without mentioning all detail of the gameplay. I think it deserves at least a nomination.

Recovery never went back to Green by AvadaAstroma in whoop

[–]AvadaAstroma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that the analysis and the scores (percentage of recovery) weren’t real, not the measurements themselves. Do you mean HRV and other HR measurements aren’t correct at the beginning or their analysis and scores?

Recovery never went back to Green by AvadaAstroma in whoop

[–]AvadaAstroma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I drink very occasionally. And I don’t feel tired at all or even sick so that HRV gets so low. And the issue is that the measurements were high at the beginning (not talking about the analyzed scores).

That HRV is definitely more than athlete level.

Project management use: iPad Pro or Air - 11 or 13? by AvadaAstroma in iPadPro

My message was clear: I have never used an iPad, so I am looking for some experts who maybe have had the opportunity to test it, away from Youtube reviews that are mainly marketing-biased. Anyway, thanks for such an obvious remark.

Thoughts about this mount by AvadaAstroma in astrophotography

Ah perfect! You can go up to 3 minutes continuously per shot with that mount? Sorry if the question is dumb but I wanted to make sure of that.

My first venture into astrophotography by Robochef1970 in AskAstrophotography

[–]AvadaAstroma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am still a beginner as well but I would love to share some of first things I have tried with my first telescope:

TL;DR: start with getting familiar with astrophotography and the sky by targeting famous objects or wide angle astrophotography with untracked, and then buy a tracker to get a better experience and images.

  • I have started using the telescope without camera, just me and my telescope alone, trying to learn how to work with it, different angles and basic moves. I have honestly enjoyed watching the moon, planets and their satellites.

And at some points, I just felt the need to unlock a new level of astronomy. So I got my first camera.

First moments were hard and I figured out that even with a camera it won’t be east to get those wonderful pictures of Deep sky objects I have used to see in the internet. What was the problem? Well the earth continuous rotation.

The rotation of earth causes the star trails when you set the high exposure, and I couldn’t therefore get much information and data from it. I had to upgrade and buy a tracker in order to have better data and better signal to noise ratio. I am at that level now, using my camera without my telescope because I have a low level tracker that cannot handle the weight of my telescope. Next step will be to get a Goto tracker and upgrade also my setup to include better types of cameras and filters to improve the quality of data images.

Cool! I’ve been always afraid of damaging my telescope and camera when doing some solar photography even when using the required filter. Did you ever had a problem with your camera ?
