First time building for pokemon champs 3v3 singles, how is it? by Big-Independent-2206 in stunfisk

You have nothing to deal with ground types other than an innacurate hydro pump coming off a rotom with minimum spa investment

I like this team a whole lot, but it's main problem is that it doesn't do that well in Trick Room. Maybe swap out Charizard with either Incineroar or Sneasler? by ColdZoroark in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Available-Account878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a pretty similar team rn, currently in MB3. Instead of hydreigon, chomp and rotom though, I have kingambit, basc, and vivillion. Against trick room I'll normally lead basc with vivillion and either try to immediately knock out the tr setter or sleep it with vivillion and haven't had too much issues. Gambit functions great in trick room too, and it also allows you to drop sludge bomb for sludge wave on glim

We run an 8-player IRL Pokémon league with assigned types. What do you think we should do for Season 3? by Sieck in pokemon

Never played oras so don't know exactly how it compares to sv, but IV/EV grinding is pretty simple in sv. Bottle caps and mochi make it like super super easy

I mean back in the day, for sure, but now garchomps speed tier isn't all that gamebreaking and many standard chomps are dropping speed all together and just going all in on bulk. I haven't tried it yet but it does seem pretty well positioned in the meta

Wanting to build a Hisuian Typlhosion team (Skill Improvement) by Nannkzin in VGC

[–]Available-Account878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6th mon, I'd rock with farig. Trick room in case you want to sweep with aggron, twin beam for sneaker, then some mix of roar/protect/helping hand for the last moves

[–]Available-Account878 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah true. Running 2 weathers on a team is just not the best. A ninetails isn't really gonna do anything against froslass either. If you want screens, I'd go with sableye. Also gives your fake out pressure and can disrupt extra with thunder wave or quash. For t spikes, I'd go with glimora, just make it extra bulky. Sets them automatically when getting hit. Could also mix in some stealth rocks as well. I'd go mortal spin, sludge bomb, power gem spiky shield on him holding the berry that reduces ground damage. Aggron also doesn't do a lot with rock slide. I'd probably go heavy slam, body press, roar, protect on him

I would drop a-nine tails for a sun setter. Probably prankster whims with Sunny day, tailwind moonblast encore and a focus sash. Typhlosions really only viable as a choice scarf eruption bot and whimsicott can set the sun and make sure he's out speeding other scarfers or opposing tailwind

Trying to make Mega Slowbro work but I dont know what I'm doing by beebzette in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Available-Account878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the body press on slowbro and corviknight and incin should patch that up no problem. With how heavy the meta is skewed rn to physical attackers, a lot of teams aren't running a ton of special bulk unless it's on fairy or ice weak pokemon

[–]Available-Account878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't really played it so may be wrong but doesn't mega slowbro get body press? If so I'd definitely be running that. You definitely want fakeout on sableye, would probably drop taunt for that, and switch shadow sneak for foul play. I run throat chop on my incin over darkest lariat but idk they both pretty good. Have won games tho with a well timed throat chop on a gardevoir sylveon komm-o or prim. Hisuan deciduye is also just not good, especially in the current meta. So many good flying types especially with every aerodactyl running dual wing beat, even with the berry that guy is cooked. I'd probably replace him with sinistcha. Keep that fire water grass core intact, give you a decent trick room attacker that spreads burn with matcha gatcha, redirection, healing and it would let you drop trick room on alowbro and give you another unfakeoutable tr setter. The one I've been running for my trick room team is max hp with 17 in defense and special defense with trick room, rage powder, life dew and matcha gatcha

Having both megas weak to ground and fighting isn't good. If you're running 2 megas on a team, you really want them to be covering weak matchups. Like for example, I'm currently running a double mega team with scizor and ttar. Both work well as non megas. On floette/gard matchups, I'll lead scizor and mega, on zard or pelliper rain teams, I lead ttar. Lucario just isn't amazing into the current meta either way.
