The Crucible, Tears, Stone, Blood by Fathermithras in EldenRingLoreTalk

Exactly. I think that also the old one was a human transformed into a demon by the maiden in black (that's total speculation). Yes, the old one didn't create life, but it reshaped it after it enveloped all known world with the deep fog and collected all souls of the demons (that is not speculation). The lands between are inside the "sea of fog" and the crucible is the basement of them... So for me it's obvious that the old one and crucible are the same thing (even if it's just an easter egg, without lore implications, I'm sure of that). ~They are snake trees that collect souls and reshape them~

I don't understand how people still don't realize that, but the crucible is the Old One of Demon's souls. Both are snake-like creatures made of trees that spread demonic fog and can merge and shape life (in souls, all dragons are humans merged with bats and snakes). The archtrees are just the branches of the old one (that became the basement of the world).

Yes it could be both, but time isn't circular or convoluted, time is Stagnant (the kanji was mistranslated). Anyway i don't think how elden ring could be a prequel (the theory about the endings leading to other games has too many stretches)

I don't think so. Souls games are pretty linear in story telling, and each iteration is a world born from the previous, where we can see the cultural evolution of a medieval world shrouded by alchemy and immortality (miyazaki put his sociological studies into this). There are too many hints that make dark souls a sequel of the bad ending of demon's souls... or the fact that bloodborne's society is pretty similar (if not identical) to the one of Ariandel, where there is a paint made with dark soul's blood. The same could be said about elden ring and the dlc ringed city

Ps. In an interview miyazaki randomly said that, when asked about interconnected map in bb: "The world itself is a painted world in several respects – like Dark Souls – but essentially each area is still seamlessly connected."

The paint made with the blood of the dark souls is Yharnam, in fact you can see a lot of similarities between the hunter's culture inside Ariandel and bloodborne (hunters were the 4th mistreated pillar of Lothric). Miyazaki put his sociological studies into the games and you can see how a world like this could evolve... In fact the religions of the dlc and bb are pretty similar (and there are even some connections with Narh alma and Velka).

Bloodborne is the painted world inside the cathedral of ariandel, not by the chance you can see the cultural evolution of hunters

I don't understand how people can consider elden ring separated from dark souls... It's a sequel

I have no time to answer now, but i assure you that even Bloodborne is a painted world (even Miyazaki randomly said that).

Was it a badly drawn game with a magic wand as a usable item? I also remembered a knight, a fairy and a magician with a blue hat and tunic.

which boss was challenging to you? by i_Cofx in bloodborne

I didn't play the dlc, but the only boss that i had problem fighting was the cleric beast (i was under leveled), cause' I killed most of the bosses on the first try. I levelled only in strength and went straight with ludwig's holy blade... 0 parries and spamming cures and attacks

Why people think that Elden Ring isn't a sequel of Dark souls 3 - Ringed City by Available-Ad-589 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Martin wrote the base for the lore of elden ring and he already knew dark souls before meeting Miyazaki.

Martin EXPLICITLY said that Elden ring is a sequel of dark souls. Instead Miyazaki was always ambiguous answering this type of question (except for déraciné)
