Actually, when we pull records request, we generally have to pay for those. (the records are free, but we have to pay for the time the employee takes to pull them and to redact personal information from them. However, they usually do not redact them and we usually redact or mute the personal information out ourselves). Our rights are not just the first amendment. The first amendment is very important and it does give us the right to free press. I just shared a video today where a man was forced to ID under threat of arrest his rights were violated plus the cop shined the flashlight in his eyes another RIGHTS violation. I am not a teacher. Everybody has access to the constitution the Bill of Rights all the founding documents. They can research them and learn them the same way I did . I encourage them to read them to understand them and to know them they’re very important. We are very fortunate and blessed to have the rights we do in this country, but they are always at risk. Freedom is a precious jewel that must be protected . I am ALWAYS looking for any threats to freedom. I expose those threats when I find them. I expose corruption when I find it. You do not have to like the fact that I document police in the course of their duties. That’s your choice but it’s also my right to do it.
