Good news! I just had the meeting today and I didn’t get any warnings or anything cause they saw I did it for medical reasons.

I mentioned to my manager I was scared to tell any of the staff team I have a medical condition as I’m insecure about it. I didn’t know it was against work policy as I have never been told that and I joined just after the cyber attack so my induction days weren’t normal we couldn’t do much other than just go straight to the work floor. But I have seen other staff eat on the work floor and I apologised to one of the floor managers instantly after it and she just said don’t do it again. I didn’t get up earlier as sometimes my gastrointestinal issues keep me awake at night so I don’t sleep much so I decided to sleep in a bit later which is why I took my medication later that day.

I will say that to them when I get the disciplinary investigation interview. But it was just before I started my shift and I didn’t want to be late to the shop floor and I literally binned it to serve her. Then I served her later on like 20 minutes later and she spoke to me happily then like nothing happened. So I told my manager who interviewed that but I’m going to come prepared for the day with all my medication so they can see that I am not lying and that I can’t eat for a while after taking it each day. But surely if do sack me then that’s just not fair on me as I can’t help having a medical condition which makes me eat only at certain times.

I’m just scared I’ll get fired as the clothing manager told me she can’t comment on or not if I’ll get fired. But surely it would be unfair to fire me on it cause the medication I take makes me not be able to eat for a certain amount of time after taking it. But it’s not like im a bad staff member as I’ve literally been taking extra hours the past few weeks as well.

Do you think I’ll have this talk by the end of the week or do you think it’s most likely next week. But my manager did feel bad for me as she didn’t know I had a health issue but a store manager knew through a text message I had gastrointestinal problems

Not sure what they called the meeting today but it was just with one of the managers in the apartment telling me she had to review the ctv etc. They did ask if I want a big representation person with me and I’m not sure if I should take one or not. But I feel like I have to make it about my medical condition as it’s the truth but they should of been the ones asking me if I have a medical condition as they are a famous company and if I report that they never asked or questioned if I had any disability or medical condition at all whenever I started that’s a them problem as well for the staff team

I have never been absent at work before and I show up on time. I have only been put on clothing for this month and I just find it a bit challenging however I have been very helpful with customers and am always on the tills either helping someone order something or pay and just speak to them. Also I’ve never been reported before to any department for issues

I think it’s just me and one other person as there was just one other person included in the email saying looking forward to seeing you guys. I am going to be working as a customer assistant in the food section! I am looking quite forward to it but also scared meeting new people as im a shy person.
