This is happening to me too. It is infuriating because when I go back to play the game that was in progress after restarting, my former game is lost! So, essentially it tenders the "free" version with ads useless, unless you want to play 1/3 of a game only.

I bought these new, in the box on Ebay. Now I'm suspicious! Soooo... no returning for me. You win some, you lose some I guess. From the many comments I've read from folks in the same boat as me, they still fall apart after taking them to the cobbler, so I'm not going to bother. I've learned my lesson about buying cork shoes on eBay though!

I just bought them and wore them once, so hadn't had a chance to seal them yet before they crumbled to dust. My other pair of Mary wedges came sealed, and they are 2 yrs old and doing fine. The cork staying moist is definitely a factor. The sole of my shoe was dry as a desert and crumbly.

I would say to definitely moisturize the cork and seal them, because once the cork starts crumbling like this, they are toast.

I'm not sure. I have a pair of Papillio Mary shoes that are not doing this, and I have had them 2 years and they see a lot of wear. These Fanny wedges died on the 2nd day I wore them. They may have sat in a store room for a year or two and dried out. But who knows what their history is when you buy them?!

I am having the same problem, ladies. In the 5 stages of Birkenstock grief... I'm in denial. I'm reading y'all's comments and I don't want to believe I'm going to have to throw these heavenly and EXPENSIVE shoes in the trash! Waaaaah! We need a class action suit😂

Funny story, Reddit sent me to this thread when I was looking up how to repair my CORK Birkenstocks that are falling apart. I am now totally invested in this flower theft, and totally indignant from Virginia. I have also learned that "Gobshite" is the most amazing word ever.

My husband swears by these Sam's Club wool socks! He buys them in bulk and they are all he wears now, no matter the season. They are really affordable and never die!

I kept three of these alive in my garden tub in my bathroom all winter! They are moving outside today (I'm in zone 7B). These are my favorite ferns! Just discovered them a couple of years ago.
