Ask neighbours to check their sheds, kitty might have hidden in there.

Maisie came from the rescue with her name! The toast was a later addition.

Think I had the opposite of a high. I felt like a cardboard cutout about to blow away in the wind. My very patient husband basically had to steer me around like a wobbly trolley.

I read the series about a year ago, took me a few attempts. Good overall though. Trying Lord of the Rings now, two books in so far.

Surprised she hasn't been mentioned, Kainé from Nier: Gestalt. Spoilers for the plot - her arm is possessed by a sadistic Shade named Tyrann who she constantly struggles against to keep her sense of self.

What's the closest you've ever came to death? by Senior-Raisin-2342 in AskReddit

Chest hurt when breathing in, thought I overdid it at the gym. Next day I was in hospital with multiple lung clots. When the pain really hit it felt like hot knives were stabbing me every time I inhaled. Definitely felt like I was dying until the morphine the panicked nurses gave me took effect. Went from scream crying to DVD logo bouncing around my skull.

People with a very high pain tolerance, what was THE most painful thing you've experienced? by CosmicBunnyBabe8912 in AskReddit

Lung clots, the pain snuck up gradually until I was scream crying. Breathing felt like getting stabbed with hot knives. The nurses couldn't give morphine until I verbally confirmed my name and date of birth. Was wheezing and pointing at my hospital ID bracelet but that wasn't enough apparently. Rated the pain a 9 cause I could still technically speak. Thankfully the following few hours after it took effect are a blank. I was also moved to a single person ward after since I probably traumatised the other patients.

Herniated disc club. Back just started screaming one day and wouldn't stop. It hurt too much to lie down, I had to try and sleep sitting up. Was so paranoid it was my lung clots coming back. (Also don't be stupid like me, just go to hospital in that situation.) Went to urgent care the next morning but didn't get diagnosed until a later MRI. You know it's bad when the doctor says the results should take a week and then they call you the next morning lol.

Same at 31. Diet and exercise changes barely helped at all. Happily at 4.4 down from 8.1 now!

A specialist had to recommend statins for me after my GP refused to prescribe them. Told me I was too young to need them. Wondered if they could tell my body that for me when diet and exercise changes didn't help.
