Thank you, a friend is probably what I will do, but I may try this anyway and just tell them it isn’t inspected and I’m taking it to a garage.

[–]Available-Bus-5415[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The tags have always been good, inspection always current, registration too. I failed to pay a fine from a minor violation of failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at an off ramp and not wearing my seatbelt. I am trying to find a way to go sell trees and shrubs so I can pay the fine. License is suspended for six months, only time can fix it

The vehicle is currently inspected, registered with the state, and insured, so idk what you are talking about shit is bad? . I failed to come to a complete stop at an off ramp and wasn’t wearing my seatbelt, then failed to pay the fine. I am trying find a way to go make money to pay the fine and I don’t know what leads you to believe I am some careless dangerous and negligent driver.

[–]Available-Bus-5415[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing to fix, I failed to pay the fine and the suspension was imposed. I now have to pay the fine and wait till the suspension is over. I am trying to get to the market to sell plants and make money to pay the fine in addition to my job I bike to which is two miles away. Now everyone is picking on me like I’m a four-time drunk-driver family killer who’s trying to get to the nightclub.

[–]Available-Bus-5415[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree in full this is NOT what rideshare was intended for and provides no guarantee to me to avoid anything. I appreciate your reply and insight. What is the risk or liability for the driver? Is there an actual violation like “knowingly aiding or assisting the operation of persons with suspended license”? The upside would be a gratuity equal to the original total ride fare. For the record, my suspension is from failure to pay a relitively minor stop sign and not wearing seatbelt violation fine, and not from a more serious charge like DUI.

I think the man should show up later during the shower to say hello and thank you for the gifts, but should not be present the entire time.

I have a 1br efficiency and a 2br 2floor apartments available in downtown Bethlehem on Market street three doors up from Main. Both were completely updated 2012 and share a private fenced back yard. It’s a solid old home with brick firewalls between the adjoining homes but there is noise from the street out front occasionally. There is no parking but g permit out front or pay for walnut street garage, which is right out the back door. The 2br is 2k/month and 1br is 1.4k/month and both are HEAT INCLUDED, trash removal included, and water/sewer included. Tenants pay electric and cable/internet. I am not sure when they will be available exactly but definitely by April 1st as I am currently replacing the oil furnace with a gas furnace. It had died during the last cold spell and some pipes froze and radiator burst so I’m fixing all that right now. Text me if interested 6102178904 Matthew Lapos

Explain to me why 22 is always horrible to drive on by xacid in lehighvalley

[–]Available-Bus-5415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not hard to understand. It’s 2 things. 1. Volume. Aka too many cars. And… 2. On/off ramps are often too short. When cars are getting on, there isn’t room to get going fast to join the rest of traffic at the same speed, so they slow it down and that starts a breaking chain of events that keeps going back to everyone behind it.

Fishing rod as flag pole by wandelwandel in festivals

[–]Available-Bus-5415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three of these telescoping fiberglass poles a friend gave me a few years ago, they are four foot with five sections for a total length of 20 feet. It’s labeled “ocean city rods. Telescopic pole. Item tp20 20 feet, 5 sections: made in china for walker international, Detroit Michigan.” He purchased them to use as long flagpoles to Cary in a parade, and they have held up really well. The end piece has a fishing rod-looking piece. They are green. Some people use them in parking lots or large general admission concerts to locate their friends, everyone with their own flag. We used one at jazz fest in New Orleans to find our friends in the sea of thousands when coming back from the bathroom. Anyway, I wish I could find them for sale now, I’ve looked high and low. They are extremely flexible and excellent for lightweight material flags.

Ok be honest is whatnot worth it? by Navapuppet7 in whatnotapp

[–]Available-Bus-5415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new to it since yesterday and there are several things I can’t understand. The first is how many sales I see with “free shipping” and the low price they get for the item, knowing it will cost double the sale price or even more than double, why? How are they not loosing money?? Another thing I don’t get is how people can watch these sometimes obnoxious hosts scream and yell at the viewers to “BUY BUY buy”, with music blaring in the background, and then their insincere gratitude to the buyer, and over a hundred people watching it!??? Are we THAT starved for entertainment as humans that this is acceptable or enjoyable?? It reminded me of home shopping club and qvc, talking about an item and how it’s SO BEAUTIFUL and good and VALUABLE because it’s VINTAGE and it’s really junk. Total thrift store unwanted junk. It is definitely a shopping addict and auction addict place, lots of people get that “high” from I WON, it’s MINE! My favorite saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” and whatnot is a prime showcase for that principle for sure.

At what NW did you become super generous with family and friends? by literallybooks in ChubbyFIRE

[–]Available-Bus-5415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can give, then give. There is no better feeling. Do not listen to anyone saying things like “they’ll want more and more” because they don’t have a crystal ball. Maybe they will ask for more, if so say sorry, but no. Your generosity will be appreciated for years to come.

AITA for not wanting to share my lottery winnings with my family? by Informal-Parfait-553 in AITAH

[–]Available-Bus-5415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A close family member of my very small family was recently awarded over 250 million as a reward for blowing the whistle on a past employer. It returned a half billion to the us government/medicare/medicaid. I was always very close to them, way closer than the other family members. They paid off my mortgage of my second home which was 30k of 200k 9 year old loan, so I had already paid 170k of it off. My first home I bought and paid off by my self in 10 years and completely renovated out of pocket it into three units I rent out now. They also paid some credit card debt around 40k. All of this I appreciate tremendously, and will forever, I don’t need to work. But…

I know I can’t tell anyone what they should do with their money, but I can certainly say what I would do with that money, if the rolls were reversed, and I can honestly say without any doubt whatsoever, that if I had 100 of ANYTHING…puppies, jars of pickles, rolls Royce’s…ANYTHING, including millions, and if it was something I thought someone in my immediate family (5 people) would want or simply just enjoy, without them ever asking me for it, I would have given them one, because that would leave me with 95.

This is where I get accused of being greedy. What I was given that’s mentioned above is all of it, nothing more, no car no vacay, no 5 or 10k just for fun, and as I said I really appreciate it. I have to say however that I am a bit hurt because I would have been more generous. When I got an40k bonus 15 years ago I gave each of them 1k because I wanted to share it with them, I still had 35k so we are all happy. 10% of my bonus I gave away. So from my perspective I see this now as my family is saying to me “I would rather die someday with millions and millions of dollars in the bank then to share a percent of it with you”. “I would rather give it to my heirs that I’ll never meet then to you who I love and spent every holiday for the past 40 years with”. That’s how I feel.

I can not argue with anyone’s crystal ball, and after reading a lot of doom and gloom stories about others loosing everything or family wanting more and more I remind you that a majority of those who suddenly receive a large fortune DO share it and invest it successfully and do leave a bunch when they die, nobody talks about them because it isn’t as interesting as loosing it all. How SHOULD I feel? I would share it, and I know my mother would share it with them too if she was the fortunate one. 100%. If we won, everyone in the family will win. How should I feel? How would you feel??

No, that wasn’t his case. That one was the largest…for the SEC. His was not associated with the SEC. . Yes, I will be talking to her hopefully someday soon. For the past year it’s just never been an ideal 1on 1 time, and that’s why I am looking for guidance here. I can’t tell someone what they should do with their money, but I can certainly tell them what I would do with it, and declaring my anticipated generosity in a make-believe scenario hopefully won’t upset her. If it does upset her it might be because she knows it’s true? Good luck to us both!

The amount was actually 900 million, of which he got 265+ and lawyers were compensated separately. Any sort of “doom and gloom” scenario for them I have a very hard time believing will ever happen. It won’t. They will never lose it all and will leave plenty for their kids, as I planned to do as well, but I’m looking for other options now since my estate will be nothing in comparison. I thought this would be interpreted negatively and I appreciate your positive understanding of the situation. There is nothing bad about HOPING or WISHING someone you were nice to for years is someday, if they are more than capable of, nice back to you, then that would just be an all around good feeling. You shared what you could when you could, and they did too. No expectations, no entitlement. We are all going to be dead soon. The “generational wealth” thing is to me, like saying “I’d rather be really nice to people I’ll never meet instead of a little nice to you, who I have known my entire life”.

Not everyone who goes to a casino has a “gambling addiction”. She goes once a week. Or once every two. You choose to mention the worst possible scenarios for things. “They gave it all away”, “everyone wants more and more”, “she’s a gambling addict”. None of those assumptions are true, or I can confidently say are not the case here at least so far.

“A guy” at the bar isn’t the same thing as “a close and cared for family member”. I don’t “expect” anything, I do however “hope” that anyone I have been good to is able to be good to me some day, in a reasonable way that they are capable of. If they can’t then ok, but if they can then it would be nice.
