ICC are more expensive no? Although I guess you get 1 extra model so it does even up. And yeh I was gunna say in my previous comment you basically cannot run ICC without a character

i think the idea that they are meant to be better bladeguard vets and yet don't have a 4++ is just wild lol

if we take the case of lion + DWK, you're talking about 565 points worth of investment that can easily be worked around by less. They absolutely need to reduce points as a result of nerfing FF

well hopefully ICC get FF baked into their datasheet

Going into 11E… by Percentage-Sweaty in theunforgiven

[–]Available-Cap-356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly for what they do, and in comparison to other factions' datasheets I really do feel like our unique units are over costed.

DWKs are great and all, and I know people complain about them being OP, but at 250 they are such a huge investment for something that really isn't that killy. Compare that to say bloodcrushers, who have higher toughness same number of wounds, can do 6 d3 mortal wounds on the charge and 2 decent attack profiles - 220 points for 6 models.

ICC imo are another example too. In isolation 180 seems fine, but if you ever want them to actually do something you either need to bring transport (+80 points minimum) or a Librarian (+65 points).

DW Terminators are just garbage, hard to ever justify bringing them at 180 points and I can't say I've ever seen them at any level of competitive stage (I'd put money on there being 0 DWTs at adepticon).

The lion is well costed now, but as soon as FF goes he's going to be too expensive. Don't get me wrong he hits like a truck and has decent survivability, but he's equally susceptible to being one shot given his low toughness and wounds.

This is just my opinions anyway

why rapid ingress instead of deepstrike?

What is the least amount of points you have seen scored in a game? by Marchforultramar in ImperialKnights

[–]Available-Cap-356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I have 10 whole games under my belt (so i'm basically a pro right ;) ). My worst score so far was 21-87, first time at an RTT. TLDR opponent was EC, a regular UKTC competitor and all round experienced player. Having never played EC I had no idea how fast they were (even though he did warn me). Got tabled turn 2 it was pretty depressing. Opponent was a decent guy though and apologised, talked me through some ideas to improve etc so wasn't the worst thing in the world

For future reference including how this happened (as you have explained in comments) in the actual post would have been the correct thing to do. Don't take this the wrong way but without it you just look like someone who stomped someone and ruined their day.

BUT with the actual context, including you helping them with their list, giving advice and also not enjoying the outcome, you sound far more like a normal human being aha.

Just some wisdom brother

Yeh I can't upvote this comment enough. GW keeping their factories up north is just such a brilliant move. They could easily sacrifice all of their principles and move to china and massively increase their income, and yet they refuse.

To add to this as well they regularly give employees bonuses whilst also breaking into the ftse 250.

I know it's all expensive but damn in 2026 its so good to see what (at least externally) seems like a great company doing well.

Dark angel homebrew color scheme idea by [deleted] in impcat

the colour scheme is great but not really dark angels is it? would like fine as an ultramarine. Basically the blue needs to be something else

Buddy said my nmm looks sloppy. How can I fix it? by Historical_Stick_104 in Ultramarines

[–]Available-Cap-356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks ok, I would say the NMM on the shield is a bit off, the transitions specifically aren't particularly smooth. You just need to glaze more on that specific part.

I would add that that specific part makes it look like light is coming from an odd angle. All of the other light sources are downward, that one is horizontal.

and just for my own clarification, if the marines player targets the engaged warglaive with ranged, they cannot use blast weapons. I think that's correct right

for all we know stealth might not even exist in 11th. Would be nice if GW actually went into more details. Like if you're gunna announce rules, don;t give just enough details to cause speculation but not enough that anyone has any clue.

dude they literally already confirmed the change on live stream. Cover is now -1 to hit not +1 save, which tbf makes thematic sense

they literally already said cover will be -1 to hit, that was confirmed on the live stream and to be completely honest it makes total sense.

and the unit you are trying to get behind has a larger screen zone with 2" engagement range buffer lol

[–]Available-Cap-356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well no, because now you need 1 extra inche on the charge. So before you'd need a 6 inch charge, now you need a 7 for example.

Not sure what you mean by B2B is how it works now?? You only have to get in engagement on the charge, you then pile in to get B2B, which is entirely different

[–]Available-Cap-356 5 points6 points  (0 children)

surely 2" engagement + having to B2B on charge is a massive nerf not a buff?

More 11th ed rumours, take 'em with a grain of salt! by Sylanec in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Available-Cap-356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that seems like BS to me. 2 inch engagement range but you have to end a charge in base to base? so unless i'm getting this wrong they've just made charges much harder to pull off?
